The Duchess of Cambridge meets One Direction at the Royal Variety Show
The Duchess of Cambridge met One Direction at this year's Royal Variety Performance.
The boyband were joined at the London Palladium today (November 13) by McBusted and Simply Red, along with Ed Sheeran, Ellie Goulding, Demi Lovato and Bette Midler.


The Royal Variety Performance, which the pregnant Duchess attended with her husband Prince William, was the first they oversaw - replacing the Queen and Prince Charles who normally attend.
It was hosted by Michael McIntyre and saw Britain's Got Talent winners Collabro also perform as part of their prize.



The event raised funds for the Entertainment Artistes' Benevolent Fund, of which the Queen is patron.
The 2014 Royal Variety Performance will be shown on ITV in December.
