Synopsis: 

MoSheng fell in love with YiChen at first sight and started pursuing him. He eventually reciprocate the same love back. However, due to unavoidable circumstances, Yichen rage his anger at MoSheng, which result in 7 years of a silent separation.

Adapted from perhaps one of the most well known love stories. When I read this novel several years back, I didn't fully absorb all the feelings of the characters. I found the story too short and the plot too simple. 
Earlier this year, when I found out the novel was to be made into a drama, I read it again. This time, I saw the characters in a new light. I thoroughly enjoyed the read and at a few places in the book, felt my heart actually twist for the characters. 
I'm so glad this is going to come to live. Hopefully it will be as successful as the novel! Can't wait for it to be out!

I like the novel, it's very light and I'm glad that it focuses more on their reunion than their separation so it doesn't feel too angsty.This author (the same author for Boss & Me) writes great lighthearted stories that's easily relatable. I'm hoping the drama don't focus too much on the past but more on their reunion so it won't feel draggy.

First 2min teaser 

This 2min teaser was release today. I'm liking everything so far. Obviously it's not officially released, that's why the quality is not the best. Hopefully the official one will be release soon.

Character's stills are out for "You're My Sunshine."

Before I get to the topic of the character stills, recently the production held a competition for fans to design the Title's logo. There were a few very nice ones I've seen floating around webio. In the end, the production team chose a very tone down logo. I think it's befitting to the central theme of the drama. 
As for the character's still,there's nothing new or flashy about the posters. Hopefully, the drama poster would be more creative as these stills are pretty simply. Apparently, the theme is "Love can only heal one's wound" and I have no ideal how that transcend into these poster stills, because both leads look like they are drifting into a state of blankness. The supporting casts, however, are doing a good job of portraying the moods that both leads are supposed to give out( which is being super emotional and damage). I particularly like the second male lead's poster since it give off an emotional vibe yet a sense of toughness holding back the tears.

Another sets of character stills were released!
These posters shows the main leads holding on to the one thing that they hold dear. While our 2 main leads holds onto a prominent objects that reminded them of each other, as typical, the second leads hold on to memory (object) that reminds them of our two leads. YiChen has MoSheng's camera, which represent Mosheng's passion and love of taking pictures. While MoSheng holds tenderly near her heart, YiChen's wallet, a wallet that had nothing but some cash and Mosheng old photo.  YingHui hold on to a photo of the city he once shared with Mosheng. Lastly, YiMei holds on tightly to YiChen's criminal law book.

The stills look really good! I was having trouble getting over Tang Yan's short hair, but the stills makes the look work.

First official sneak peak scene released: 

Today the result came out, and apparently the "First encounter" won by a landslid. I happen to vote for the scene where Mosheng's held onto Yichen sleeve after the famous scene where Mosheng often counts the grids on the ground while waiting for YiChen.

It's not that I didn't want to see the "First encounter scene," it's just that I knew Yichen was gonna end up walking away from MoSheng, so I wasn't anticipating that scene.  It too bad my scene did not get picked.

Wallace recently did some press for SK-II (since he is their official celebrity endorser) and he briefly mention a little about " You're My Sunshine."  He said that in comparison to the book, very little is changed and it stays very faithful to the original content. The book only briefly mention about the university days, but the drama will devote a good amount of time during that time period (especially with those classic scenes). This is actually a good thing, because us audience will understand better why YiChen loves MoSheng crazily. 

I couldn't resist, I just have to share this MV. It is nicely done along with the music. 

@jwand: You got good eyes there, even I who was photoshoping & did not even notice the title change on the promotion posters. I must admit though, it isn't clear if "You are my Sunshine" is totally dropped or maybe it's just being shorten to "My Sunshine" so that the logo look cleaner.

"Meet Zhao Mo Sheng" video : This video was release yesterday. In it, Tiffany describes a little bit of MoSheng's characteristics. There are also quick glances of some of the sweet moments between the two leads as well. Hopefully, we'll get YiChen's video soon too. "Meet He Yichen" video:  Same as Tiffany's video, in this video, Wallace describes his character He Yichen. As we don't get much of Yichen's perspective, it was interesting to hear Wallace's take on Yichen.

The title is called "My Sunshine" by Zhang Jie (張杰). If you read the novel, the lyrics are pretty spot on for the YiChen and MoSheng's character. Peanuts have already translated the English subtitle on her website. Click here for the direct link.
