Nick Cannon Says He’s Concerned About Mariah’s Mental State
mariah's mental state

If you’re still nursing a broken heart about the Nick and Mariah break up, Nick Cannon wants to inform you that he’s the one choosing to leave the relationship and it’s for the best.TMZ reports that Cannon is the one who decided to end the marriage mostly because he believes that Mariah’s mental state isn’t healthy for their family. Sources close to the family revealed to the site Cannon believes “the environment around Mariah is toxic and fears for his kids.”He’s said to describe their living situation as chaotic and believes Mariah’s primary concern is making money. Apparently, he’s already witnessed signs of emotional upset in their children: Twins, Moroccan and Monroe, which the public has come to know affectionately by their nickname, “Dem Babies”.The couple has been living separately and despite rumors of Nick’s infidelity he maintains his main focus is his children. No one likes to see the break up of a family, but the industry has made Mariah’s diva-like ways no secret and I would hate to believe she displays that same kind of attitude at home. We hope this family gets the help and support they need.

Mariah Carey may often be called a “diva,” but lately, her friends and family have only one way to describe her: a total emotional mess! As her six-year marriage to Nick Cannon, 33, implodes, sources say the “You Don’t Know What to Do” singer, 45, has been a fragile fountain of tears, and barely has the strength to care for her 3-year-old twins, Moroccan and Monroe. “She’s falling apart and totally on edge,” says an insider. “She feels like a failure.

In late August, Nick was busy moving his belongings out of the New York City apartment he shared with Mariah, while his estranged wife had escaped to Orlando for a vacation at Walt Disney World with the kids. But even in The Happiest Place on Earth, Mariah was the picture of misery. “She was outside with her bodyguards, nannies and kids—she looked pale and puffy, and her hair was a mess,” says an onlooker. “She didn’t seem like she was in any condition to speak to anyone.”

The witness goes on to say that while Mariah slipped into a black Escalade, her children were escorted into another vehicle by their nannies. “It was bizarre,” says the source. “She didn’t even say good- bye to them or give them a hug and kiss. She’s always posting pictures on social media, acting like she’s such a caring mother; but when they were being put into the car, she didn’t even give them a second glance.”Instagram

As OK! first reported, Mariah’s absentee parenting and reliance on multiple nannies has been a main source of contention with Nick, who’s angling for full custody of the twins. A source says he has also suspected the songstress of infidelity (not that he’s been an angel, with rumored dalliances with model Jasmine Sanders and Wild ’N Out costar Brittany Dailey.) He’s also concerned about her reportedly escalating anti-depressant-and-champagne habit. “Nick wanted Mariah to go to rehab,” says an insider, who adds that Mariah’s friends have likened her current state of listlessness and depression to her breakdown in 2001—which landed her in the hospital, with self-inflicted wounds—four years after her divorce from “mentally and emotionally abusive” music exec Tommy Mottola.
“This is a woman who married an abusive man in her early 20s and experienced a lot of heartbreak after that,” says an insider. “She has a different bond with Nick than any of the men she’s been with, and that’s why she’s taking this breakup even harder. She’s going to have a total breakdown if someone doesn’t intervene soon. She really needs help before she ends up in the hospital.”

Nick Cannon Removes 'Mariah' Tattoo Amid Divorce Drama

Mariah Carey

Nick Cannon is moving on from Mariah Carey by removing his tattoo of her name on his back. The two are splitting up after six years of marriage, and the exact reason is still unknown.
In 2008, Cannon and Carey got tattoos in honor of one another. "We got tattoos!" Carey told People at the time. "His is on one shoulder to the other and it says 'Mariah.'" And hers? "It's on my lower back and it says 'Mrs. Cannon,'" she said.
Cannon told InTouch about the permanent ink after they wed:  “To me, rings are special and exciting, but tattoos mean more than anything. They’re forever and ever. They professed our love.”
But recently Cannon had his large tattoo changed so it no longer reminds him of his estranged wife. The 33-year-old was seen at Playhouse nightclub in Hollywood on Thursday to celebrate his birthday, which is next week, and he took off his shirt, revealing new ink. The new tattoo reportedly shows Jesus on the cross with angel wings coming off the end of the cross, a source tells TMZ.
While reasons for the split are unknown, Carey was reportedly too jealous and even had assistants spy on Cannon to make sure he was not stepping out on the relationship, according to RadarOnline. "Nick’s phone would blow up from Mariah texting and calling, and he would turn it off. He was tremendously embarrassed by it," a source said. "Nick told friends that Mariah would get angry when he wouldn’t return calls, and sent assistants to see what he was doing."
Cannon quickly got fed up with the phone calls, the source claimed. “He was tired of having to answer to Mariah all the time. It was just sad to see, because Nick always used to brag about how amazing his wife was to everyone on the set,” the source said.

Let's hope Mariah Carey has mastered the art of letting go. According to a new report from TMZ, the singer's estranged husband, Nick Cannon, has filed for divorce after six years of marriage.

TMZ claims that Cannon filed papers on Dec. 12, a little over a week after his ex made headlines for missing her rehearsal for the 2014 Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree Lighting. At the time, the site reported that she had been on the phone, allegedly dealing with an issue related to Cannon.

In any case, the divorce has been a long time coming. America's Got Talent host Cannon, 33, first confirmed the two were living apart back in August, when he told The Insider With Yahoo that they had been in separate houses "for a few months."
Two months later, in October, the Drumline actor stopped by the Meredith Vieira Show, where he opened up a little about their split. "It's truly just staying focused on family and what's right and getting through these times and just doing what's right for the kids," he explained, referring to twins Moroccan and Monroe, 3.
"We've always been people who are kinda on the go, coming and going, so their life hasn't changed one bit," he added. "We spend holidays together, we do everything that we're supposed to do together."
