Hey, sometimes when life gives you lemons, you make everyone happier by coming back to dramaland and making rom-com lemonade. Seo In-gook (Master’s Sun) is headed back to the network that made him a household name with Answer Me 1997 — the actor has confirmed that he’ll take on the leading role in tvN’s summer romantic comedy High School King of Savvy. (It’s a really weird title, more literally like “high school king of knowing how to get through life,” which just does NOT roll off the tongue.)

The drama stars Seo In-gook as a high schooler who pretends to be an adult (kinda funny, since it’s the other way around for the actor). He plays an immature high school student, a star hockey player and basically the most popular boy in school. But due to unnamed complications, he ends up having to masquerade as his hyung, who’s a manager at a large IT company.

Seo In Guk will make his comeback as an actor in an upcoming drama of tvN called "Life of A High School King"(working title). 
"Life of A High School King" will be a romantic-comedy drama which is about Lee Min Suk(Seo In Guk) who is a high school student and also the best striker in a hockey team. As a reckless person, he suddenly becomes a substitute for his brother who works at an IT company and he will experience not only joyful but also sorrow moments especially in an environment which has many female workers.

tvN's new Monday & Tuesday drama 'High School King' ('King of High School Life') revealed on April 14 that the leads will be played by Seo In Guk and Lee Hana!
According to the reps, Seo In Guk will be playing Lee Min Suk, an immature high school student and ice hockey player, who suddenly enters a major company as an executive in his brother's stead.  At the company, he meets Lee Hana's character, Jung Soo Young, who is a female temp at the company with whom he forms a budding romance.

‘King of High School Life’ depicts an adventurous story of a high school boy who happens to enter into a grown-up life.

Actress Lee Ha Na is returning to the small screen for the first time in five years through the new tvN drama “High School King” (working English title).

Seo In Guk had a busy year and he has already chosen his next project, a noona romance about a high school student pretending to be an executive.
In the past year he played the second lead, head security agent Kang Woo in the popular drama "The Master's Sun." After giving So Ji Sub some competition for Gong Hyo Jin's attentions, he followed that successful comedy with "No Breathing," a film about competitive swimmers.
He played a role in the miniseries "Another Parting," which premiered in February, and was cast as a gangster in the 2014 action film "Wild Dog."Now he has chosen his next project, "High School King," a tvN drama that will take him back to high school. It will be his first tvN drama since the hit series "Reply 1997." In that series he played the quiet, brooding boy next door.
Since Seo In Guk is 26, "High School King" may be his last chance to convincingly play a high school student. His new romantic comedy is set in Poong Jin High School. His character Lee Min Suk is a popular if somewhat reckless student and a member of the hockey team. Lee Min Suk has all the qualities it takes to be a successful student but then he meets an even bigger challenge.
He has to take the place of his older brother, who is an IT executive. He's confident but does not have a lot of experience in the adult world. Life in the office differs a little from high school. And while he starts out doing a great job of pretending to be equal to the challenge, he runs into some problems relating to his co-workers.
One of his co-workers is Jung Soo Young, a female temp, played by Lee Hana, 31. "High School King" is her first drama role since the 2012 drama  "Chief Inspector Choi Il Joo." That year she also appeared in the film "R2B: Return To Base" and before that she had a role in the film "The Fair Love."In "High School King" Lee Min Suk and Jung Soo Young begin a noona office romance, but there's no word yet as to whether she will know he is really a high school student when she starts dating him.
Yang Hee Seung and Jo Sung Hee, who worked as writers in the "Hick Kick" series are writing the screenplay. The drama will follow "A Witch's Love" in June.

Singer and actor Seo In-guk will once again star in a tvN drama series. The popular star is slated to join "High School King" (working title), according to local media. 
"In-guk feels emotional attachment to tvN drama series", said an associate of the 27-year-old entertainer. 
Seo rose to fame in large part thanks to the 2012 tvN drama "Answer to 1997". 
After the success of "Answer to 1997", Seo appeared on some dramas on terrestrial networks, including last year's romantic drama "Master's Sun" on SBS. 
On "High School King", Seo will play a delinquent high school student named Lee Min-seok. Lee inadvertently enters a conglomerate company to help his older brother, who works in the IT industry. 
"As a high school kid who starts to work in the nation's most exclusive firm, viewers will be able to see the naked reality of today's salary men in Korean society", said tvN official to local media.
Seo confirmed that he will drop out of the film "Wild Dog", which had been slated to be his big-screen debut. 
TvN noted that "High School King" will air in June, after the current series "A Witch's Love" wraps.

Lee Soo-hyuk (Shark, Vampire Idol) has just been cast in the new tvN romantic comedy series High School King of Savvy, which means he’ll be joining Seo In-gook (Master’s Sun) and Lee Hana (Triple) in the drama about a high schooler who somehow gets winds up in the executive ranks of a large corporation.

The premise sounds offbeat in a potentially hilarious way—I’m not sure how Seo In-gook works his way into this business world or why, but I can see it making for a hotbed of hijinks. Is anybody else reminded of the Arrested Development storyline where Maeby (at 13) gets mistaken for a movie executive and starts ordering around interns twice her age to do her school book reports for her, under the guise of them being potential movie projects? It’s all in the attitude!

YES, FINALLY! Ingukkie is back to dramaland as lead actor again, I can't wait for this! I don't mind he's back to playing a high schooler (but now with a twist of pretending to be an adult), because just like JB said in her article, he definitely have that age flexibility. He can pass as a high schooler (Answer Me 1997) but he also looks mature and totally an adult (Master's Sun). As for Lee Hana and Lee Soohyuk, I've never seen them in anything (poor me) but I'm sure they will form a good chemistry. And it's tvN! I believe in them.

Well in this one i'm for sure because i totally love Seo In Guk and Lee Soohyuk and the plot sound very original and funny so i can't wait to see it knowing that In Guk can pose as a highschool student and as an adult at the same time..tis one is on my top list ont his summer without a doubt

The whole concept sounds hysterical.  I have seen work for all of the main actors, and I really look forward to the project.  Looking forward to updates. ^^
