Do you skip, and how often?

I started skipping when I was in my sophomore year.My friend was a really bad influence on me...it all really started with her.Nowadays I skip not so much, but not so little either! :(I've been absent at least 10 times this whole school year already (it's only second quarter), and I've skipped classes purposely at least 3 times.I'm currently a senior. What about you? :I

@raymondc27 It's just sad, because I used to be the girl that was scared to not even turn in homework assignments. And now I'm skipping like it's nothing...without my parents knowing!/sighI'm sure you had fun though! :D

I never skipped classes in high school unless I had a legitimate excuse. Missing even one hour could be costly, in terms of the workload.
Don't your teachers take attendance? At my school, if we didn't show up, then an automatic phone call would be sent home. Well, even when I was present, I would sometimes get marked absent anyway because I'm apparently like a stealth ninja or something... |・ω・`)

Whaaat ... If we skipped too many classes, we'd fail the course and need to retake it ..

I never skipped in freshman~junior year, and once in senior year
On senior cut day, I needed to go into new york early to buy supplies for my college classes (cos the stores close at 5 and Id arrive at 5.30)
It was somsad .. All my friends went to the beach, and I went to class .. Eyy

Good old days. On my last year in high school, I skipped the entire classes the entire year and got back at the end like nothing happened and I gently flipped off one abusive teacher who had no respect for his students. I then grabbed my stuff in the locker room and left. At one point I was escorted by the police and at the exit, I shook their hands. (Ironically years later after studying in IT and then security, I worked with those same dudes until I quit the job).
This is not a troll post by the way, it really happened. I remember leaving mathematics class like I didn't give a damn, straight after the teacher told me I got 10% in my exam. I redid that math later for few weeks (night classes where we study on our own) and had 98% and 100% in all of them. Yep, I'm a night person.
I skipped classes because I went to learn and discover other things on my own + do my own research, etc. I didn't do drugs or all that richard simmons because I've already discovered I didn't need any of that and it was too stupid for me anyway. No use to even try.

What a rebel I was.
Sometimes, when I was in class, I would wear sunglasses (to sleep). If not, I'd be wearing a hat that would cover my eyes.
Years have passed. I'm another weird person.

@zer0mg Yes, my teachers take attendance and yes my school makes phone calls home when we're absent. My house's home-phone is broken, though.Even if they tried calling a billion times, it would never go through. Some would say I'm lucky.I say it makes skipping everyday way too tempting...haha.

i never skipped a single class till this year (my senior year) and i regret having started cause it's addicting once you realize that you can pretty much get away with it all the time.

Omg I still remember the first time I skipped half of the day to shop in the city with my mate hahah they were hell suss cause whenever one of us wasn't there the other wasn't either.
But towards the end of my senior year I skipped almost everyday for a few classes - usually around lunchtime onwards, it was so easy cause my friend had her car and licence by then so we'd go out, eat dim sum and just shop in the city c':

In my 2nd year in high school (which would be like 8th grade or something in America) I use to ALWAYS skip school. It's not that I was purposely flunking, it was just the fact that I was afraid to see the people that I disliked in school. Since I'm Chinese, I get bullied a lot for being a different race, and I could never just ignore them. So I skipped like one day every week for 10 months straight. But I'm going into GCSE year (sophomore) and trying my best not to skip as much anymore :)

I have honestly only skipped once and I am a junior. I also skipped an assembly we had as well.I dislike going to class a lot, but when I skipped, I didn't know what to do with myself. I am kinda of a "good" student so when I skipped, I spent the time hiding in the bathrooms being scared to death I would be caught haha.

@YooAmie I'm sorry you got bullied for being purely Asian.People are so stupid, honestly.Even now, people would point me out for being the only Asian in my group of friends or the only Asian kid in class. It's like, "Okay? Your point?"It's really annoying.I think it'll stop around college time when people finally get over minor differences like that.I mean I was born in America so it's not like I do things most Americans don't, and I'm assuming it's the same for you (wherever country you reside). :P

This semester I almost didn't join any classes :x
the problem is, I'm always falling asleep there, so going to class was kinda wasting time for me. :)

I'm, at this moment, on my... 8th suspension I think XD I was about to be expelled from my old school but if I got expelled I wouldn't be able to go to any schools in town so instead they just moved me back to my previous school that HAD to take me because I live in the zone for it :P

But back to the point, in my first year of highschool, I wagged aloooottt, got a suspension, parents moved me to a different school. I told them I'd rather not go to school at all than go there so I flunked at least once a week, often I'd skip 1 class every day or something. I don't even remember, but it was aloooootttt and than when I would just take it as a little holiday when I was on suspension - like I said, I would have honestly rathered no school than that school. The suspension I'm on right now is from climing up the level system we have, but one of the things I got into trouble for was wagging ~.~ Me and my best friend both like japanese, but our teacher is sooooo omafgoap'ud her voice is bad enough but than the rest of her omfg just do not get me started on her -.- So instead of going to class to get into trouble for not going to detention for not handing in assignments, we ended up wagging together and she knew because well... we were together.... so we ended up with detention for not going to detention for not handing in assignments XD I don't even know how we thought that would be a good idea XD But whatever, we had fun :)

Now usually like once a week, we'll all go down out of school at lunch or something and get hot chips from the corner store. Sometimes we will skip if we don't feel like class or we have a particular reason :3

Once I'm off this suspension, the school is looking into an alternative for school for me.
So I'm not exactly getting away with it and certainly not encouraging anyone despite the fun I do have.
I just don't like school.

Actually, this is my 4th year in high school and since I started, I've had at least 1 suspension every year. 1 in year 7, 5 (that was the nearlly expelled year) in year 8, 1 in year 9 and now this 1 in year 10. All are from either wagging or swearing/being rude/backchatting,etc to teachers.

Sometimes I would wag because I knew if I went to class I'd end up getting pissed at the teachers and I'd just get into trouble for swearing at them. Figured it was more of a chance that would happen than getting caught wagging, even though I would still get caught alot :S
