i hope someone can translate what JJH was saying in this video:

I only understood her talking about Kim Hye Soo's breast size since I've read an article about it. Lol.

It was really good to see KSH laugh beside her.

[interview] Kim Soo Hyun Talks About Do Min Joon, His Favorite “Man from the Stars” Scene and More

On March 5, a press conference was held to celebrate the successful run of the SBS hit series, “Man from the Stars.”

During the press conference, Kim Soo Hyun shared his deep thoughts on the drama such as his character Do Min Joon, his co-stars, his favorite scene and other personal reflections.

Kim Soo Hyun kept the atmosphere sincere yet light, saying “Sorry for rambling” with a smile whenever he felt his answers got a bit long. When a reporter asked “Your face is so small that it brings damage to your co-stars. What do you think about that,” Kim Soo Hyun merely laughed and paused before saying, “Thanks, mom.”

Here are some of Kim Soo Hyun’s answers to the questions asked during the press conference:

Q: How would you rate your partner, Jun Ji Hyun?

A: As soon as I saw the script, I thought I was going to die because Chun Song Yi’s character wa sso cute and lovable. Jun Ji Hyun’s personality is very cheerful in real life and she makes it easy for one to focus on the romantic feelings. I was very focused (laughs). The staff members were ecstatic to be working with Jun Ji Hyun. So of course, the set atmosphere was very good. Ji Hyun nuna would always prepare very well before coming on set so I knew I was with the best Chun Song Yi for every moment of acting.

Q: Which scene do you think was the best?

A: The frozen time kiss scene on the frozen lake. It snowed a lot and had a very icy and cold atmosphere but I think the scene was good at showing the warm emotions.

Q: The many kiss scenes became a hot topic…

A: Personally, I thought a lot about whether Do Min Joon should seem experienced or inexperienced at kissing. If I just think about Do Min Joon, he should be stiff and awkward but during the discussions with the staff, we wanted viewers cry out automatically when watching the kiss scene so I tried to create better-looking angles.

Q: What is your secret to success starting from “Moon that Embraces the Sun” to “Man from the Stars?”

A: I was really fortunate with the projects itself. They were very attractive characters to being with and characters that allowed viewers to easily open their hearts. When I look through projects, I think it’s important to see how the characters mesh with the project. The director, the writer, senior Kim Chang Wan, Jun Ji Hyun, they all helped me to focus on my emotions and concentrate. Even while I was acting, I felt ‘Oh, I am really acting.’”

--> BTW, previously Park Hae Jin said JJH very cheerful, and now Kim Soo Hyun  ;)

--> I just take out part of the interview mentioning our Ji Hyun unnie, please look at YWCFTS thread to find more :D

Michelle He, a 26-year-old bank manager in Southwest China's Sichuan Province, used to buy lipstick from well-known brands such as Dior. But now she is more interested in a new brand that few Chinese consumers had even heard of before this year.

"I ordered this hot pink IOPE lipstick online and waited for more than a week for it to come," she told the Global Times Monday. "I paid 150 yuan ($24.25) for it. Now it is much more expensive on taobao.com, since so many people are going after it."

IOPE is a brand owned by South Korean cosmetics and skincare products maker Amorepacific Corporation. It became fashionable after a popular Korean TV drama, You Who Came From the Stars, had its lead actress using the lipstick in the show.

One of the characters in the show is a fashion-obsessed South Korean female superstar called Cheon Song-yi, who is played by Jun Ji-hyun. It also features an alien called Do Min-joon, performed by Kim Soo-hyun. They fall madly in love, even though Do has to return to his home planet within three months.

The romantic comedy, which started in late December and aired for two months, was a massive success in TV ratings.

It was also a big commercial success for products featured in the show, ranging from fashion items to snacks, many of which have sold out since early February.

Get the lipstick

According to an old Chinese saying, love for a person extends even to the crows on his roof. Chinese viewers' love of the show apparently goes beyond the characters and story, and includes the cosmetics that Cheon uses.

Li Xiaotian, who runs a store selling South Korean and Japanese skincare products and cosmetics on e-commerce website taobao.com, told the Global Times Monday that her business partner in Seoul could not purchase IOPE lipstick in the city because it was all sold out.

"Many customers asked me about the hot pink and red colors of the lipstick," said Li, who lives in Central China's Hunan Province. "Even the hair sprays and finishing cream, which were simply placed on Cheon Song-yi's dressing table, became extremely popular in South Korea and China," she said.

The lipstick was also sold out on taobao.com and even US websites selling Asian cosmetics. All the taobao.com shop owners contacted by the Global Times Monday said a customer now needs to wait at least 10 days before they ship the product.

"My colleagues will travel to Seoul this week just to buy the lipstick," one salesperson told the Global Times Monday.

Most Korean drama aficionados in China buy their Cheon-style lipstick online, because IOPE does not have an official store in the country. The lipstick, which is priced at around $25 in the US and South Korea, the equivalent of 153.64 yuan, can fetch as much as 300 yuan on taobao.com.

Li started selling IOPE blemish balms, one of which Cheon picked up and put in her purse in one of the episodes, for 188 yuan since January. Li said she has made nearly 30,000 yuan in profit from it so far.

Since December 18, when the drama premiered, the share price of Korea-listed Amorepacific has surged by 16.3 percent to 1.16 million won ($1,082.25) as of Wednesday.

Now eat the food

The lipstick may have sold out, but the show's fans have other ways to spend money on their passion, such as shoes.

He, for example, said she is saving up 4,000 yuan to buy a pair of silver Jimmy Choo shoes like those that Cheon wore to attend a wedding.

A Shanghai-based fashion columnist with the handle gogoboi on Weibo has written regular posts about what Cheon and Do wear in the show, ranging from Dolce and Gabbana dresses to Didier Dubot earrings. His entries on the show have been reposted 2,000 to 12,000 times each.

Those who are not willing to spend thousands of yuan on designer brands are instead lining up outside restaurants that serve the South Korean-style fried chicken and beer which Cheon and Do like.

Liang Jinjing, general manager of Barsak, a fried chicken restaurant in Beijing, told the Global Times Tuesday that the restaurant's revenues have rocketed since late January, declining to give specific numbers.

"Several groups of customers said to me without looking at the menus, 'did you see You Who Came From the Stars? I just want what Cheon Song-yi and Do Min-joon had in the show,'" he said.

said: @mizna hi there! I haven't read that article from hancinema and im actually searching it now and will probably read it after i post this. Come to think of it, I guess i havent really factored in the points that you have just said. Its just  that I cant help but compare her to other stars (great examples on my post earlier) who somewhat share the same popularity, talent and somewhat command the same monetary value as her who can smoothly move from both screens with not much concerns. She does not even have a lot of movies compared to lets say Ha Ji Won or Son Hye Jin or Gong Hyo Jin and they already have a number of dramas under their belts compared to which I consider JJH's debut drama really which is YFAS. So I guess my only conclusion is that she really just prefers movies over TV. I mean a a fairly young hallyu star since 2000 to only appear in a series 14 years later already explains a lot. Okay, I guess my point is that I am just sad that I cant get to see her as often as I would really like but that is how she sees her work and I will support her no matter what. Oh Mizna dont even get me started with how private she is LOL. I mean i was trying to search youtube with JJH interviews and as you said I literally found only the Star Date Interview, bits of their presscon for The Thieves and the news report for her wedding last 2012 then thats it! And reality shows.. how I wish I can see her in one. I really hope I can see her in RM. The show has a reputation for enlisting Top Stars as guests (again all the stars I mentioned appeared in RM already) and it would be daebak to see her there!!

Kim Soo Hyun spilled about their kiss scene, but what did Jun Ji Hyun, his partner, think about it?

The press conference for The Thieves (formerly, The Professionals) was held on June 12 in Seoul. Director Choi Dong Hun and actors Kim Yun Suk, Kim Hye Soo, Lee Jung Jae, Kim Soo Hyun, Kim Hae Suk, Oh Dal Su and Jun Ji Hyun were present to talk about the film.

When asked about their kiss scene, Jun Ji Hyun said, “I felt pressure because the director said we would be retaking the scene more than 10 times regardless of whether it came out good or not. All actors get worried about such scenes and have a hard time getting through them, but in my case, it was great because I was with Kim Soo Hyun.”

Jun Ji Hyun became Ye Nicole, who specializes in tightroping, for the film. She was a thief who doesn’t hesitate to go for tall buildings even with her small figure, and never purchases the things she wants, but steals them. She and Jampano (Kim Soo Hyun) have a little moment, and the two end up kissing.

She joked, “It’s my first kiss scene in Korea, but I agreed to do it since he was younger than me. I asked Kim Soo Hyun later, and he said it wasn’t his first time. I felt like I was at a disadvantage then.”

“I’m full of new emotions after seeing the behind-the-scenes video, she said. “I didn’t know I would have to do the wire action myself. I think I couldn’t avoid it, though, because of the actors and the director. It wasn’t that hard when I thought of them.”

The Thieves is a film about 10 thieves from Korea and China who gather to steal the Tears of the Sun, an infamous diamond hidden in the casinos of Macau. It will premiere on July 25.
