The cast of upcoming drama That Winter, The Wind Blows attended a press conference to promote the classic melodrama of two people who don’t believe in love. Ironically, the first episode will be screened just in time for Valentine’s Day! Jo In Sung‘s character is a professonal poker player and Song Hye Kyo‘s character is an heiress who suffers from visual impairment. Song Hye Kyo revealed that the few scenes that have been shot are very emotional. Jo In Sung and Song Hye Kyo both seemed fixated on the swimming pool scene when the two characters meet for the first time. The characters bump into each other and instantly develop overwhelming feelings for each other. Song Hye Kyo admitted to being completely immersed in the performance. Both actors agreed that it was a very memorable scene.

Upcoming SBS TV Wed-Thu drama ‘That Winter, The Wind Blows’ held its press conference on the afternoon of January 31st at Seoul’s Blue Square. The drama’s leading cast members comprising of Jo In Sung, Song Hye Kyo, A Pink’s Jung Eun Ji, and Kim Bum were all in attendance.

The drama revolves around a professional poker player Oh Soo (Jo In Sung) who was known as the best during his prime. In order to survive, he has to swindle away 78 billion Korean won from the heiress of a large corporation Oh Young (Song Hye Kyo) who has lost her eyesight. To achieve his aim, Oh Soo hoodwinks Oh Young into believing he is her long-lost brother. Later on, Oh Soo brings along Jin Sung (Kim Bum) who is like a brother to him and has a close relationship, to live together in Oh Young’s house.

This drama marks Jo In Sung’s return to the small screen after a 8 year hiatus following his previous drama ‘Spring Days’. He plays the role of Oh Soo who appears as a slick character with masculine charms. He will seek to present to viewers the loneliness and sentimental feelings of Oh Soo.

Song Hye Gyo who previously worked with screenwriter Noh Hee Kyung in ‘Worlds Within…’ reunites in ‘That Winter, The Wind Blows’. Song Hye Kyo plays the role of Oh Young who loses her eyesight and is the heiress to a large corporation. We await to see how Song Hye Kyo will handle her unique role.

‘That Winter, The Wind Blows’ marks the 3rd collaboration between screenwriter Noh Hee Kyung and director Kim Kyu Tae after their previous dramas like ‘Worlds Within…’ and ‘Padam Padam’.

The drama will begin airing from February 13th.

Jo In Sung talked about his thoughts on returning to TV through the SBS drama “That Winter, the Wind Blows.”

On January 31, Jo In Sung made an appearance at the press conference for “That Winter, The Wind Blows,” which was held at Blue Square in Hannamdong, Seoul. He stated, “It has been 5 years since I have done a project. It’s too much to say that this is my comeback project, I wish you would say that it is my next project.”

Jo In Sung talked a bit about the film “Martial Arts” which would have been his comeback film. However, due to production problems with the movie, Jo In Sung’s comeback was delayed. Jo In Sung stated, “Originally I had planned on appearing in ‘Martial Arts’ but because that took so long, I first appeared in a variety show. After ‘Martial Arts’ became delayed it was difficult to choose another project. After going through many different possibilities I finally had the opportunity of meeting ‘That Winter, the Wind Blows.’ The moment I received the offer, I really wanted to give it a shot.”

Jo In Sung ended with, “I think it is better to say that this drama is my next project. I hope that the people who watch this drama will see it with a comfortable mindset. I thought that if I wanted to continue to improve as an actor, I would need to appear in this drama.”

“That Winter, the Wind Blows” will have its first broadcast on February 13.

On January 31st, That Winter, The Wind Blows held its press conference, wherein a 9-minute preview was screened for the attendees. I think many who glimpsed this on a big screen felt as though they were watching an actual film, as the drama is shot with a cinematic flair—off-center framing, intense close-ups, a long take that pulls the audience from their seats and seemingly into the scene itself, etc. The more I see, the more I like I hope the drama will be able to maintain this quality even when it hits its live shoots …

SBS’s That Winter, The Wind Blows will start airing on February 13th and is slotted to run for 16 episodes.

On January 31, the press conference for “That Winter, the Wind Blows” was held at Blue Square in Hannamdong, Seoul. During the press conference Kim Bumstated, “Jung Eun Ji and I are not partaking in a soft melodramatic relationship for this drama.”

Kim Bum continued, “As you can already imagine, in the drama, we are in a very lovey-dovey relationship that involves a lot of fighting and hitting. The two of us are also curious how our relationship will develop throughout the drama.” Then Kim Bum started to talk about kissing Jung Eun Ji, “I heard that we kissed each other faster than Jo In Sung kissed Song Hye Kyo. As you can see in the trailer, I kiss Jung Eun Ji and subsequently get slapped. We are in that kind of relationship.”

Next Kim Bum talked about Jung Eun Ji, “I think that the good thing about Jung Eun Ji is that she is very bright and passionate. That is why I was nervous also and was able to act in a lively manner. I am cheering on my seniors with the mindset of a fan that also wants to try his best.”

“That Winter, the Wind Blows” is a drama about a rich but visually impaired daughter that meets a gambler. The drama will begin airing starting on February 13.

I watched the preview and love all the pics here. This drama really has the potential to hit BIG. I love the cinematographic and the expressions of the casts.

JIS is truly a 'skyscraper', he is so tall and one thing I notice he also has a cherry lips.... No wonder that SHG needs to be in her heel (though many may think it awkward for a blind person in heel) and I am fine with that coz I don't want to have JIS suffer of back injury of leaning towards SHG throughout the entire drama.
