class="blog_h2 entry-title"The simple life of Choi Young (Lee Min Ho) in the past will be shown on Faith

2012082310181095851_11.jpg

The simple life of Choi Young (played by Lee Min Ho) in the past will be shown.

In the fifth episode of SBS TV’s drama series Faith, which will air on August 27, Choi Young’s happy, simple life when he was a member of Jeok Wol will be shown.

In the fourth episode of the series, which aired on August 21, Choi Young’s painful past as a member of Jeok Wol was shown. Unlike his current attitude toward the world, which is always indifferent, he used to be a bright, simple person in the past.

Choi Young looked more relaxed and comfortable when he was a member of Jeok Wol. The smile he had while he was preparing to spar with his fellow Mae Hee (played by Kim Hyo Sun) shows how happy he was in the past. The scene of Choi Young closely looking at Mae Hee increases viewers’ curiosity about their relationship.

A spokesperson for the series says, “This is a very important scene of Choi Young’s sad past, which made him lose reasons to live.”

Lee Min Ho films a crucial scene with Choi Min Soo for "Faith"

lee_min_ho_choi_min_soo_faith_filming_12

The filming for the SBS drama ‘Faith’ proceeded with actors Lee Min Ho and Choi Min Soo at Studio Com in Incheon on the 21st.

For the scene that was filmed on this day, the charismatic veteran actor Choi Min Soo made a cameo appearance. Despite filming with a senior colleague who many consider to be larger than life, Lee Min Ho comfortably conversed with Choi Min Soo and he looked relaxed like any other day.

The mood on the set was light and Lee Min Ho could be seen making jokes with Choi Min Soo. However, as soon as the camera lights came on Lee Min Ho perfectly transformed in to the Goryeo warrior, Choi Young. The smile on his face had completely disappeared in an instant.

Word is the filming went very smoothly and both Choi Min Soo and Lee Min Ho very much enjoyed working together.

Lee Min Ho to Have Love Line with Action Actress Kim Hyo Sun for ′Faith′

Kim Hyo Sun managed to grab the spotlight after her appearance on SBS’ Faith.

In the August 21 and 22 broadcasts of Faith, Kim Hyo Sun appeared as the female warrior Mae Hee, the only female in the king’s secret Red Moon Unit. She worked hard with her fellow warrior Choi Young (Lee Min Ho), but then she was brought in front of the tyrannical King Choong Hye.

The King ordered her to take off her clothes in front of him. Moon Chi Woo (Choi Min Soo), the leader of the Red Moon Unit, stopped her but was soon cut down, leaving Mae Hee behind to sob over the death of her leader and over how she was the reason he had died.

The sad eyes of Choi Young looking on Mae Hee, and Mae Hee’s sorrow at her loss, came on one of the best scenes in Faith so far.

Viewers also started to show interest in Mae Hee, asking, ‘Who is Mae Hee?’, ‘Is she supposed to be Lee Min Ho’s lover?’ and ‘When will the love relationships start?’ Her firm back muscles, which showed while she stripped down before King Choong Hye, also surprised her viewers.

Kim Hyo Sun previously made issues for being an Oh Yoon Ah look-alike, and is known to be as skilled in martial arts as Jung Seok Won.

She is known as the first Korean actress to take on full-fledged action scenes, and became known after showing off a series of surprising kicks on a SKY cell phone commercial in the past.

In the SBS drama Painter of the Wind, which starred Moon Geun Young, she appeared as another charismatic female warrior. The actress is fluent in foreign languages, and received love calls from Hollywood agencies for being an actress who could put on great action scenes.

Mae Hee plans to delve deeper into her love line with Choi Young in the episodes to follow.

In the upcoming August 27 broadcast, she will be getting closer with Choi Young. In the stills from the drama released on August 23, she is shown preparing for a spar standing back to back with Choi Young.

Choi Young’s smiles, which are flashed here and there in the other photos, show how happy he was in the past, and are showing a glimpse of the history the two once shared.

A rep from the production company said, “This scene is a sad memory Choi Young cherishes, and soon an incident will follow to shake up his life and make him lose the reason he lives. Please show us your support.”

Korean actor Lee Min-ho will be standing alongside Hollywood stars Angelina Jolie, George Clooney and Audrey Hepburn at the coveted Madame Tussaud Museum. 0

The actor has been set to be exhibited as a wax figure at Madame Tussaud Museum in Shanghai, after getting recognized as a famous Korean celebrity causing a big wave of Korean pop culture boom by the museum staffs, Starhaus Entertainment said.

Officials said a staff from Madame Tussaud Museum recently visited Korea to get Lee's measurements for his soon-to-be revealed wax figure and to discuss his overall concept, posture and design.

"We have to conduct a thorough analysis of a person before creating their wax replica," an official from Madame Tussaud was quoted as saying.

Founded by famous wax sculptor Marie Tussaud, known as Madame Tussaud, the popular tourist attraction was first established in London and has branched out to major cities including New York, Hong Kong and Los Angeles.

The museum displays wax figured of famous and infamous historical figures, film stars, sports stars and other public figures to provide visitors a chance to get up close and take pictures with the popular figures.

Lee shot to stardom with KBS' "Boys Over Flowers" in 1999, and has been one of the most popular Korean actors in Asia. He has starred in other hit TV series such as MBC's "Personal Taste" in 2010 and SBS' action series "City Hunter" the following year.

He is currently starring in SBS' new Monday and Tuesday series "The Great Doctor" opposite actress Kim Hee-seon.

[star of the Week] Lee Min Ho

2012-08-26 10:00  l   CJ E&M enewsWorld Elizabeth Eun http://enewsworld.mnet.com/enews/cont.. icon_copy_1.gif
Lee Min Ho is dominating the small screen these days, with his ultra-charismatic take on warrior Choi Young for SBS′ Faith - but that′s not the only place he′s taking over as he’s our Star of the Week!

The young actor has starred in back to back hit series since Boys over Flowers, the piece that launched him into superstardom, and he doesn′t seem to be slowing down anytime soon.

Lee Min Ho, who cleverly avoided being pigeonholed into his flower boy status, is a hot commodity worldwide, as he’s considered the number one male cosmetic model in Korea, the number one hallyu star (according to a Japanese entertainment magazine, the number one celebrity to go on a blind date with, causes street-stopping crowds in China, and is pretty much still the prince of Korean dramas.

67775429.jpg

But fans who are tired of just seeing him in 2D can (sort of) see Lee Min Ho life-size - as wax figure that is.

Otherwise, you can still catch him every Monday and Tuesday, as he′s pretty much the reason anyone is watching Faith.

Plus, Lee Min Ho is also the reigning SNS King of Korea, with well over 5 million friends on Facebook and over 10 million followers on his various social networking sites overall.

Whew - can we get in on a piece of that action?

[star of the Week] Five Reasons Why Lee Min Ho Makes Hearts Flutter

2012-08-26 14:00  l   CJ E&M enewsWorld Grace Danbi Hong http://enewsworld.mnet.com/enews/cont.. icon_copy_1.gif   Lee Min Ho is currently a cold and kickass bodyguard for the king in SBS’ Faith, but we mustn’t forget about the times when he made us squeal and prevented us from sleeping at night due to the heart-flutteriness caused by his oh-so-adorable mannerisms.

So here are five reasons why we love our flower boy Lee Min Ho, in no particular order. We know there are a lot more, but we can’t list out everything, so bear with us.

When He Knows What He Wants, He Doesn’t Hesitate

taste11-00002.jpg

Remember this scene? Remember when Son Ye Jin and Lee Min Ho finally realize they love each other? Who else screamed when he whispered “Game Over” and then swoops Son Ye Jin off her feet for a kiss? This scene was the highlight of Personal Taste (and rightfully so) as he stops pretending like he’s gay and marches out of the friendzone, boldly confessing that he loves her.

He Waits, No Matter How Late You Are

88715472.jpg

In the first scene where Gu Jun Pyo finally starts caring about someone else than himself, he proposes a date at Seoul’s Namsan Tower, but Geum Jan Di (Gu Hye Sun) decides she’s going to stand him up. However she changes her mind last minute, and when she finally does appear, he’s still there, waiting for her, freezing his butt off in the snow. And what’s even more surprising, he’s not even angry, but rather glad because she ended up coming to him anyways.

A Man Who Know How to Give Directions

There’s nothing attractive than a man who is willing to help a lady in need, and this commercial for Cantata Coffee shows us just how helpful Lee Min Ho can be if we ever get lost on the road. The over-the-top cheesiness has us screaming and wondering why no one gives out directions like that in real life.

He Dances for His Food

Lee Min Ho is a man who loves his food and how can we not like him for that? Things like donuts and banana-flavored milk have him dancing in excitement, despite his lack of dance skills, but we’ll forgive him for that since his dorkiness makes us love him that much more.

His Fans are Always on His Mind
69478054.jpg

Having more than 10 million followers worldwide, Lee Min Ho probably has a hard time keeping up with all of his fans, but that doesn’t mean he forgets about them. In fact, he’s always trying to allow his fans know what he’s up to.

On all of his social networking sites, he’s always watching out for the well-being of his fans, telling them to not catch a cold, or to be care during the heat wave.

He once commented, “They say Koreans run on rice, but I run on my fans’ love,” and hoped to one day do good deeds with his fans. A man who believes in giving back to the community and spending time with his fans? If that doesn’t convince you to like Lee Min Ho, we don’t know what to think.

So these are our reasons why we love Lee Min Ho.
Let us know what your reasons are below!

[star of the Week] Lee Min Ho’s Top Leading Ladies

2012-08-26 16:00  l   CJ E&M enewsWorld Nancy Lee http://enewsworld.mnet.com/enews/cont.. icon_copy_1.gif
Lee Min Ho’s hit dramas may have catapulted him to hallyu star fame, but let’s not forget that behind every great man there’s a great woman. And we think his female costars deserve some love too.

So, we’ve rounded up some of our favorite leading ladies who have been lucky enough to star opposite Lee Min Ho.

Try to contain your jealousy for a moment and read on.

31374722.jpg

Gu Hye Sun

We start things off with Lee Min Ho’s most popular leading lady Gu Hye Sun.

Gu Jun Pyo and Geum Jan Di are considered iconic K-drama characters of our generation thanks to megahit KBS drama Boys Over Flowers.

Don’t underestimate Gu Hye Sun just because Lee Min Ho gets all of the attention, however, as the director, artist and straight-A student proves she’s more than Lee Min Ho’s once onscreen girlfriend.

But if you haven’t seen the magic that is the Gu Jun Pyo-Geum Jan Di couple, one, shame on you, two, the clip below sums it up pretty well.

88267109.jpg

Son Ye Jin

Considered one of the top actresses in Korea, Son Ye Jin met her match in Lee Min Ho on MBC drama Personal Taste.

Too bad her character Park Gae In thought Lee Min Ho’s character Jeon Jin Ho was gay.

Based on the clip below, however, we think Jin Ho successfully cleared the air concerning his sexuality.

20494867.jpg

Park Min Young

The next leading lady may still be a sensitive subject for Lee Min Ho and his loyal fans, but Park Min Young must have left some impression on Lee Min Ho for the two to have taken their onscreen relationship off screen—and to openly confirm it through public dates, for that matter.

We only wish this story had a happy ending.

Although Lee Min Ho and Park Min Young may not be together anymore, their chemistry onscreen during the City Hunter days was undeniable

Relive the bittersweet moments from the drama in Kim Bo Kyung’s Suddenly music video below.

28413413.jpg

Kim Hee Sun

As we’re only in the beginning stages of Lee Min Ho’s and Kim Hee Sun’s characters’ budding romance on new SBS drama Faith, it’s difficult to judge the two’s chemistry just yet.

However, the drama marks both Lee Min Ho’s and Kim Hee Sun’s long-awaited returns to the small screen, so expectations are certainly high.

We’re right there with the two stars as they get better acquainted with one another in the drama. And as the clip below indicates, what’s true love without a few rough patches?
