2NE1, iTunes Japan’s "group that’s most anticipated for this year"

Girl group 2NE1 has attracted attention from K-POP fans from around the world.

2NE1 were awarded with K-POP Best Female Group at the “allkpop awards 2011” which is hosted by “allkpop”, media specialists on Korean news for English readers. This vote was done by about 300 million* music fans from around the world participating in an online poll.

2NE1 who got the title of “Best Female Group” expressed their thoughts through a video uploaded onto the allkpop site saying “Thank you all our loving fans and allkpop for 2011 Best Female Group and we wish you a very happy 2012”.

Engaged in breakthrough activities around the world, 2NE1 did not stop their force even in Japan. Announced by iTunes Japan on the 25th, at a special event called “Japan Sound of 2012” that was to introduce the most anticipated new artists of 2012, 2NE1 was the only Korean artist to be mentioned.

2NE1 had their official debut in Japan in September of last year where they had a concert tour in 3 cities of Japan (Yokohama, Kobe, Chiba). They gathered a total of 70000 attendees which recorded the highest number of attendees by a Korean artist for a Japan debut live concert.

With such interest from Japan, 2NE1 plan to attack the islands of Japan in February once more with new promotions.

We don't know yet if they are going to promote their album but no news about that from their local distributor. I doubt that it will be boracay, the place is too crowded they won't have any privacy there. Maybe in the private resort where Dara always go to.

Yeah, I would look for them to go to a more private place too. If they were to go to a club probably some place that had a VIP section where they don't have to worry so much about cameras and people wanting autographs and such.

I'm glad they're getting a nice break. I'm sure it'll be nice for them to enjoy themselves in a warm place. Yg is usually pretty good imo about giving acts a break.
