Given the long hours for filming, Jerry and Ella would often joke and play around with each other, and even poke at eyes and nose, just like young children!

Jerry Yan has been rushing to film for GTV’s idol drama - [Down With Love] through the day and night. Yesterday our reporter spotted Jerry, Ella and Xiao Xian filming near Xin Yi New York New York Shopping Mall. In this scene, Jerry was supposed to help Ella earn money by distributing sanitary napkins on the street. To make the scene more convincing, the production team also hired a big group of ladies to be cast as passer-bys. When the camera stopped rolling, Jerry would be shielded by a big umbrella. He also seized the opportunity to playfully pat on Ella’s tummy to tease her. But after one afternoon of filming, he was exhausted by the filming.

Recently Jerry has become darker and lankier, and grown more tired. According to sources, he has been working for long hours recently with the highest record of working 18 hours straight. After taking out the time for his make-up and style setting, he merely slept for 2 hours each day, and based on how he appeared yesterday at filming, indeed, he was overworked.

9月中旬，偶像剧《就想爱着你》就将完成拍摄。除了在杭州取景外，这部电视剧最大的“收获”就是改变了“暴龙”言承旭——以前，他的负面新闻不断，如今，他对工作人员客气有加，还常常买饮料“献殷勤”，甚至对记者也从“敌意”变得亲切。日前，在电话那头，言承旭说到自己的改变时表示：“如今我懂得关心别人，把腰弯得更低。”

《就想爱着你》是言承旭和S.H.E成员Ella的首次合作。戏里戏外，言承旭都说：“Ella是改变我最大的女人之一。她对我影响很大。以前对Ella的认识，就是觉得她是个很活泼很可爱的人，但没想到她很感性很细腻，这一面是大家难以看到的。她很认真地过着每一天，很认真地演好每一部戏，很认真地对待身边的每一个人。”

以往拍戏，言承旭的身边总是跟着五六个工作人员，众星捧月地保护着他；一场戏拍完，他就躲到保姆车上吹着冷气，不想和人沟通交流。而在《就想爱着你》剧组里，言承旭出入常常只有他自己一个人，不但就餐时间会自己去领盒饭，连吃完后的垃圾分类都亲力亲为，甚至还主动帮场工铺设轨道。

在剧组看到在大热天里辛苦采访的记者时，言承旭会主动递上一张纸巾过去，甚至为电视台的记者举着话筒一个多小时，这些在过去简直是无法想象的。言承旭说：“对我来讲，我不是刻意去做这个动作。其实做这个事情不难，为什么我以前不懂？其实真正快乐的人是让每一个人都开心，后来我也学会了这种看问题的方法。以前我们永远是要别人来关心我们的情绪，其实如果我们能多看看别人付出的时候，工作就会变得很美好。”

言承旭坦言，以前自己脾气不好，这使得别人不开心，自己也不开心。“以前真的很不开心，现在慢慢变得开心了。我觉得我正在慢慢变成‘大男孩’。我现在在剧组会跟大家玩，会跟大家闹，会讲笑话，我觉得自己越来越像学生时代的言承旭了，那时的我是个无忧无虑的大男孩——而不是被逼着变成别人期望的那个言承旭。现在我真的很开心。以前做访问时，我就会觉得别人越不了解我越好，可能是自我保护吧。现在不管是记者还是工作人员，我都会很真诚地跟人家聊天。”

至于感情，言承旭表示，感情这事情没法规划，一切都只能看缘分。他说：“我不知道你有没有这样的感觉，可能一个人在你身边，他就是不断地付出、对你好，你也许就会被感动啦。感情那个东西你无法规划说，对方一定要高1.78米、体重68公斤之类的……”

Even his “animosity” to the reporters has now transformed into “friendliness”. Yesterday, in the telephone conversation with our reporters, Jerry shared his change in outlook, “Now, I have learnt how to better show my concern for others, and to bow even lower.”

[DWL] is a debut collaboration between Jerry Yan and SHE’s member – Ella. On-and-off-screen, Jerry shared, “Ella is one of the women who has impacted on me greatly. Her influence on me is very huge. In the past, all I know about Ella is that she is a very bubbly and adorable person. Never did I realise that she is actually very sensitive, sentimental and thoughtful. This is one side of her which many people do not get to see. She treats each day seriously, acting every one of her drama professionally, and treating everyone around her sincerely.”

While he filmed for drama serials previously, Jerry would be attended to by an entourage of 5-6 crew members, like many stars complementing the moon, protecting and shielding him. After filming his scenes, he would often return to his air-conditioned vehicle, and seldom wish to interact with others further. However since he joined the [DWL] production team, Jerry was seen often alone and no longer escorted by so many attendants. He would pick up his meal box and sort out the garbage accordingly after meals by himself. Jerry would also help the crew members to carry the trail tracks for the camera.

When Jerry spotted the reporters who visited the team, filming on a hot day, he took initiative to pass them tissues and even helped the television crew reporter to carry the microphone for over an hour. These gestures would probably have been unimaginable in the past. Jerry added, “To me, I have not done these intentionally. In fact, these are not difficult tasks either, but why was I unaware of them in the past? Actually if we can pay more attention to others’ contributions, all our work will also become better.”

Jerry admitted that his bad temper has caused both others and himself to be unhappy in the past. “In the past, I am really very unhappy. Now I have gradually become happier. I feel that I am slowly transforming into a ‘big boy’. Now, I would enjoy playing with everyone in the filming crew, teasing them, joking with them. I feel that now I am more and more like the Jerry Yan of my schooling years. During then, I was a carefree big boy – and nothing like the Jerry Yan who has to live out others’ expectations. When I used to give interviews previously, I tend to think that it would be the best if others could not understand me totally. Perhaps, this is just my self-defence at work. Now, regardless they may be reporters or any of the crew members, I can chat with them sincerely.”

In response to probes on romance, Jerry said, there are no rules to love, and everything is just dependent on fate. He shared, “I do not know if you ever had this feeling. Maybe that someone could be just by your side, constantly giving, and treating you well, and you would be touched. Love is something that cannot be defined by rules or conditions such as the other person has to be 1.78m, 68kg etc…”

Jerry Yan Loyal to Production Team; Does Not Want NT$5,000,000 of Behind Schedule Compensation

It was rumoured that while filming for idol drama serial - [Down With Love], the production team was severely behind schedule for more than one month and feared having to compensate an estimate of NT$5,000,000 for damages to Jerry Yan. In response to media probe about the probable compensation, Jerry expressed, "I have not given any thought to that." Meanwhile producer Ke Yi Qin said, "Jerry is very loyal to friends, he is not taking a single cent."

Time is money! GTV's new drama serial [Down With Love] began filming in May. The initial filming contractual period for the main casts - Jerry and Ella was only until end of July. However now that the production team is well behind schedule for one and a half months, this has especially affected Jerry's schedule. He has supposedly already rejected an estimate of 10 commercial activities etc, amongst which included a big project in Japan; all of these could mean a loss of over millions in earnings. Based on the contract Jerry had with the production team, for any delay in filming schedule of nearly 50 days, he can demand for additional damages compensation of at least NT$5,000,000.

Rush to Wrap Up Filming on the Streets; Ella Has to Adjust Undergarment in Public

For the past one month, the production team was witnessed frequently shooting scenes off the streets of Taipei, indeed it appeared the whole team is rushing to wrap up filming for this serial. The day before yesterday (11 Sep), the production team was seen filming on the streets again. Jerry seized every opportunity to increase efficiency, while Ella had to put her hand into her blouse to adjust her clothes hurriedly. It was speculated that she was adjusting her undergarment and had to sacrifice her image to do so in public hastily, as there was no time for her to find a secluded spot to do so.

In response to the speculated compensation of NT$5,000,000 due to delay in filming, Jerry replied via his artiste manager, Fenny - To be able to collaborate with the director of [spicy Teacher], "the priority now is to focus on his acting."

Meanwhile Ella has only 3 to 4 more days to finish filming. Her company, HIM, stated that they have rescheduled her work in order for her to wrap up filming. As the filming contract has already stated on the conditions and payment terms should there be a delay in filming, hence, HIM would not be making demands for additional compensation.

Producer Ke Yi Qin also added, "According to our contract, we should have to bear the compensation. But Jerry values old ties, and he mentioned he would not want any additional compensation."

This is an ordinary morning in this city, and a story revolving around 2 individuals of the city.

This is his office and he is the No.1 lawyer of the firm. “Aloof and lethal-tongued” is what one would describe him to be. “There is no lawsuit that cannot be won” is his guarantee and commitment to his profession. He does not believe in unchanging kinship or everlasting love. He would view all these with the most reservations.

His attitude to life is critical and cold like that of ice – be it to his clients, or his niece and nephew left behind by his late elder brother. He prefers to engage the services of a nanny for the children. He is a “scrooge” when it comes to showing his emotions. Perhaps it is because of his fear of being hurt, of being rejected and abandoned, and of being forgotten…

In addition, his hectic work does not permit him to indulge too much into such thoughts either. Everyday, there would be endless calls and ceaseless meetings waiting for him to conquer…

Kind-hearted, optimistic and contented, she lives with her elder sister, who is one who values money as if it is her life. In order to make ends meet, she would get a hand into any jobs she could find and handle.

She has her dream too, which is, to make enough money quickly so that her family can move back into their former big house. The big house is filled with her childhood memories. And now, all she has is a small magical crystal ball. Other than working hard, she would, at times, close her eyes and make a wish just like a little girl.

As she recalled her boyfriend’s birthday is just around the corner, she decided to take on more jobs so as to save up for his birthday present. Flipping through her diary, she meticulously confirmed her upcoming jobs and assignments. After walking the dogs, she would need to bring them to the vet. At 1pm, she would need to rush over to Mrs Wang’s… Oh yes! There is still time in the afternoon to join the “Big Gourmet King” competition!

“So… sorry!” She smiled sheepishly, offering her apologies for the mistake. Indeed, she is getting slightly dizzy after a long day of work. “I saw pork chop written on the order form, that’s why…”

“That is because you wrote down pork chop on the order form! BUT – I – WANT – STEAK! Thank you!” He emphasised his orders word-by-word, putting on the mannerism of a big lawyer.

“Then… Whatever happened to my order of Orange Juice?” He asked.

She has totally forgotten his order of Orange Juice. “Com…coming right up!”

He felt that women really could not be trusted. And because of her, his belief was further affirmed.

An hour later, because of his complaint, she lost her job as a waitress…

Never did she expect to see him. The guy who caused her to lose her job earlier, is ironically, offering her a job now.

The pay’s good, the boss’s good-looking. The magic crystal ball seemed to have made her wishes come true, one after another. But can it be someone else rather than this mean, lethal-tongued man?

With piercing stares from her sister, which could even slice through diamonds, she decided her neck’s not as resilient. Thus if she is to bypass this job opportunity, the consequences would be…

She swallowed hard to tell him, as if also trying to convince herself, she is definitely capable for the job!

Being up-close to scrutinise her, her childlike face suddenly gave him an impulse to pinch her.

In addition, his secretary added that this girl prefers girls only. This is very fine with him too, at least, he does not need to worry about someone giving him a birthday party at home each day.

Ella Dons Leopard Prints in Serial, Jerry Does Not Wish To Watch as He Might Get Jealous

CTV and GTV’s idol drama – [Down With Love] will be shown on 24 Jan 2010* (Note: CTV’s telecast is now officially changed to 31 Jan 2010). This weekend on 17 Jan 2010, the TV stations will show the [DWL – Exclusive BTS Special]. The special will feature Jerry and Ella sharing on their collaboration for the past 5 months. Both artistes shared that they were very shy recalling a particular beautiful on-screen kiss. Jerry shared that he was very into his role when filming the scene. As they require many angles of this kiss, Jerry and Ella had to kiss and film repeatedly. To this, Ella joked, “We were worried if we were to kiss any further, troubles will brew.”

When thinking back about the kiss, Jerry said it left him with a very deep impression. “To let viewers feel that a kissing scene is very beautiful is really a very difficult task.” Ella also felt that this scene is very difficult. “I am thankful that Jerry kissed me very naturally. During the 1st kiss, I was still feeling very shy and thinking why do I feel so ‘dissolute’. But when it comes to the 2nd kiss, everything just went OK.” The kissing scene between both artistes was very natural and when the director shouted “Cut”, they looked at each other shyly and smiled. Subsequently, Ella walked back to her elder sister’s side to cover her blushing face with a towel. Meanwhile Jerry and Ella’s very professional portrayal let all members of the crew on scene immediately feel the sweet romance between Xiang Yu Ping and Yang Guo (male and female lead characters) in the story.

In the drama, Ella is mostly dressed in casual outfits in a carefree style. When filming for the [DWL – Exclusive BTS Special], she revealed that she was required to wear leopard prints in the drama. To this, Jerry immediately asked, “Ah, you in leopard prints?” As that scene was filmed between Ella and Michael Zhang, upon hearing this, Jerry immediately turned into Xiang Yu Ping and laughed, “Let me know when it will be telecast, I don’t want to watch because I might get jealous.” Recalling her scene donned in leopard prints, Ella joked, “My legs are actually very beautiful! Everyone was dazzled on that day. Of course they were all not used to my “look”, as I even had to wear high heels. I guess everyone on scene must have had a good laugh!”

On the other hand, veteran actor Gu Bao Ming is acting as Ella’s father in [DWL]. Sharing on the collaboration with the veteran, Ella said, “Although he is a veteran in the industry, he does not impose that kind of “I am a senior” attitude on us. One can observe that he is like everyone else on the set – very serious and diligent.” Jerry also added, “One can learn a lot, working with Bao-ge.” Meanwhile Gu Bao Ming also shared on his feelings, working with Jerry and Ella. He said, “I remembered the 1st scene I had to film with Jerry was in a restaurant setting. After a little chat, we started to film. We rehearsed our lines together. That was a very long scene but we cleared the scene after just 2 NGs shots. I feel that Jerry is one who puts his heart into his work and very diligent. I’ve never seen him late for work while filming.”

When sharing on his on-screen daughter, Ella, Gu Bao Ming has even more praises for her. “Ella is very different from your usual female leads. Her beauty stems from her liveliness, sharp acumen, intelligence, and occasionally, relaxed disposition. There are many sides to her personality which you will fall in love with, and not bear to let her go.” There was a scene whereby Gu and Ella reunited, “Even when her back was to the camera, she was crying very bitterly. X: It was the last day of filming for the office set-up scene. And everyone was very anxious that day as we need to smash all the glass and break all the props.

Therefore our production team specially prepared a 2nd camera, so as to capture the smashing of the glass within a split second, from all angles.
