I remember Soompi forums was always kicking and so lively with topics/posts popping up ALL the time! Why does it seem like it's slowed down a bit? Where did everyone go? It's been a while since I was really active here.

Like the weather, some days are bright, some days are gloomy.

It's the peak time of assignment/assessment/exams in college right now :l literally no time to do anything....

well I suppose the 2nd generation like me are busy with college. Then there is the newer generation which... idk where they went. Most of the third generation already moved on with life T___T.

Yes I do remember soompi being sooooo much more active but I guess it's also up to us to make this place as active as it was before.

Oh man, I loved Soompi in 2008 and 2009. I had mostly computer classes during the last two years of high school so I'd just go on Soompi and post/comment since it was the one thing that wasn't blocked. So many things to respond to, aah.

Lurkers- who knows why they lurk? I remember when I first joined, I didn't realize Soompi had a confirmation email for quite some time so I couldn't post for several months

And I agree with the 6theory thing... I think I'm part of the newer generation because I'm in high school, right?

But I'm part of the smaller population of younger kids that prefer Soompi over 6theory...

6theory is seriously such a zoo... I feel like there's no rules, even though the forum got revamped. Nothing really changed, except they took out the "craptastic" and "porn" sections.

At Soompi, people have honest, genuine conversations, and I see a lot of people here have fun without acting wild.

I've been a Soompier since 2008 and this is definitely my favourite forum! At times, I do wish some subforums were more active, but I'm glad that this community still exists. ^^

Personally, when half the posts in new topics are ignored on my screen, I know I am not missing much.

No idea...I think I just had more things to do, and it was around the time Facebook got extremely popular...hmm.

When I was there it was intense crazy. I don't even think I lasted more than a week. hahaha!

And I guess soompi, for many, is just too calm. I personally like it because I feel like we are all a family. I recognize several users here now, for example like monkeyinabarrel, nobody_knows, npb-xk (you), mannosuke, hermit, etc, inxomnia, xtlover16, etc.

I'm still pretty much active, I always am I think. It's mostly because I find the entertainment to be much more adequate for my taste here than anywhere else hahaha.

But I don't think we could all stay active forever... For instance, I remember not seeing Hermit so active like this unless I was half blind or something (I didn't even know he existed until people mentioned him).

Mannosuke was, is, and will always be active on Soompi... ( not saying he has no life, Soompi IS life! ) He's our only hope and he's totally underrated for his hard work... I swear he deserves free subway sandwiches (not paid by me, count me out on this one).

You know something I noticed about Mannosuke is his ability to add subliminal messages to his "subway" conversations. Sexual ones btw.

well a lot of the soompiers we knew then have become adults now so their priorities have shifted a bit

For some reason ... I think soompi has become more credible now and so less kpop fever here..? Like, I guess... kind of like how tabloids sell... ? So 6theory = tabloid, soompi = glossy magazine? HAHA.

But yeah, less kpop fanaticism (which I prefer) and probably more like a community than a .. college party? Man I'm full of weird analogies today haha. I remember soompi being very active with everyone socialising for fun, but I never really noticed or observed anyone in particular (it was too hard to, too many members lol) whereas now, I recognise usernames and at times, their posts/topics.

But yeah I miss the creative forums like artwork + fanfix a lot.

i made this soompi account 2 years ago but i never really started using it until a bit of last year and this year too but i noticed that soompi has become so much quieter now..

i was a 6theory 2nd generation user before but after they made the 'new' 6theory, i just moved here. And i like it a lot better here in soompi. In 6theory it IS crazy and like a zoo there and there are people with like a -3000 reputation and so much trolling around. I remember i got over -10 on a post because i said that 'i don't watch porn, yaoi, hentai etc" LOL and i was like wtf. In 6theory it kinda seems like there are no rules lol you get bashed with your opinion and it's kinda like a tamer version of a kpop 4chan.

Plus here in soompi the drama threads are on fire and they update THE MOST! WHICH I LOVE!! It's my favorite forum to go to when watching a drama because in 6theory drama threads are dead and theres not much you can find there. Soompi also has way more categories in the soompi interest section too which fills my boredom when the soompi k-interests part is dead.

i actually like the intellectuals here in Soompi. They make the best posts in the drama sections and makes it a lot more interesting rather that "THAT #$59875432$#"$% HOE 2#%(*% Y U NO @#)9&^^ john teshING 23UALWE93#$" crap

P.S 6theory also polluted my innocent mind for the first time when i saw this erotic Jongkey thing with richard simmons and stuff yeah its intense in there they love that stuff i remember they even had a thread all about masturbating LOL
