Everyone loves random facts and I'm sure Soompiers do, too! To complete your forum enjoyment, we'll be posting trivia regularly so make sure to check this thread if you need a quick fix!

For starters, here are 10 amazing facts!

The toilet featured in Hitchcock's "Psycho" was the first flushing toilet to appear on-screen.

In 2005, at least 2.5 million American drivers aged 85 or older had valid drivers licenses.

David Bowie's left eye was damaged after a fight as a child. It is permanently dilated.

Orson Welles' last film role was as the voice actor for the character "Unicron", in "Transformers: The Movie" (animated), in 1986.

Koalas never drink in nature. They get all the moisture they need from the leaves they eat.

Symbols, like !#@%, that used to indicate swearing or cursing in comic strips are called grawlix.

You probably know (or are) a couch potato, but may not know that the term is the legal property of Robert Armstrong, who trademarked it in 1976.

Only half of a dolphin's brain sleeps at a time. The other half that's awake makes the dolphin come up for air when needed to prevent drowning.

As everybody knows, there is the famous event - The Running of the Bulls - that is staged annually in July during the San Fermin festival in Pamplona, Spain.

What most people are unaware of, however, is that there is a little-known event held every third Saturday in Tijuana, Mexico.  It's called The Running of the HERMITs.

Revelers typically try their hand in surviving a thrill ride in an uncontrolled shopping cart as onlookers try to run and avoid being hit.

This is why the word "Boob" came to perfectly describe a woman's breast:

B = how they look from the top

oo = how they look when you see them up front

b = how they look when you see them from the side.

Hence, the word "Boob"

Easter is probably the only generally accepted historical account of an alleged zombie apocalypse.

But it apparently wasn't as bad as pop culture nowadays would lead you to believe.

Moreover, infection seemingly isn't as instantaneous either - it reportedly takes 3 days.
