Wonder Girls Talks about Their Rivalry with Girls’ Generation

TV CHOSUN’s “Celeb in TV – the TREND” recently interviewed the Wonder Girls. In the upcoming episode of the entertainment news, the girls openly revealed their thoughts on rivals Girls’ Generation.

Yeeun stated, “Because we debuted around the same time, we went through similar experiences together, and we’re able to identify with each other. As such, we contact each other frequently and we’re always happy to see each other.” She continued, “We call and text Girls’ Generation,” surprising the interview and the crew. Sunye added, “When you debut around the same time, you can relate to each other more and are able to lean on each other.”

Meanwhile, “Celeb in TV-the TREND” will air the Wonder Girls’ interview tomorrow, June 30, at 10AM KST.

Wonder Girls Members Say They’re Worried about Park Jin Young’s Variety Skills

According to the Wonder Girls members, they’re not the only ones that should be considered variety disasters.

In a recent meeting with enews, Wonder Girls said, “We used to enjoy watching Saturday Night Live (SNL) in America. We heard that producer Park Jin Young will be appearing as a host on SNL Korea 2 (SNLK 2), but honestly, we’re really worried about it.”

Yenny said, “Producer Park Jin Young always tells us puns, but they aren’t very funny. We just laugh along in case he starts pouting, but I don’t know if the public will. I hope he relies more on the scriptwriters than his own brand of comedy.”

She did add, though, “We will support him. Producer Park Jin Young always supports us with his trust, so we’ll always support him too.”

Park Jin Young will be appearing as a guest on the sixth episode of tvN’s SNLK 2, which will air live from the CJ E&M Center on June 30. The episode was again rated R following Yang Dong Geun and Shin Dong Yeop’s episodes, drawing expectations that it will be another live show exclusively for adults.

The Wonder Girls say, “We and SNSD mentally support each other”

The Wonder Girls said they could relate to SNSD, who are often mentioned as the Wonder Girls’ rival.

In the episode of TV Chosun’s Entertainment in TV-the TREND that will air on June 30, the Wonder Girls will frankly give their thoughts on SNSD.

At the interview, Ye Eun said, “Because we debuted around the same time, we could relate to each other. So we call and see each other often.”

The Wonder Girls also said they often send text messages and give phone calls to SNSD.

Sun Ye said, “Because we debuted around the same time, we mentally support each other.”

The Wonder Girls and SNSD both debuted in 2007.

Wonder Girls teach how to perform “Like This”

Girl group Wonder Girls recently appeared on SBS’s Challenge 1000 Songs in 4 years.

The group appeared in the July 1 episode of the show in 4 years and tried to find the gold key.

Before the competition starts, the Wonder Girls showed people how to perform their song “Like This.” Lee Hui Jae, MC for the show, suggested the cast members to learn the choreography for the song and Kim Jong Min and Hong Rok Gi made people laugh by performing funny dance.

Ye Eun also said that she was feeling sad because of Park Jin Young, president of the group’s agency. She said, “It was my birthday a few days ago but Park didn’t say anything.” Sun Ye made people laugh by saying, “You should understand him because he even forgets his own birthday.”

On the show, Song Hae, Kim Jong Min, Son Ho Young, B1A4, Hong Rok Gi, and Kang Ye Bin appeared.

JYP Entertainment is Looking for Music Composers

If you’re a music composer, pay attention, as JYP Entertainment may want to hire you and your talents!

JYP Entertainment announced from July 1 through July 30, it will open up an audition competition for music composers.

Anyone regardless of their age, educational background and experience can apply and each applicant must submit one song suited for a JYP artist and one freestyle song of the applicant’s choice.

When applying, the applicant must include his or her resume in a Hangul or Word file, along with the composer’s two songs, in a zipped file and mail it to publishing @jype.com.

The winners of the first round of the audition will be unveiled on August 13.

Afterwards, after additional testing and interviews, a final winner will be determined and given the opportunity to work with JYP Entertainment.

A JYP Entertainment representative shared, “We created this audition for JYP and a talented composer to work together in the future. We ask for many to apply and show their talents.”

Wonder Girls’ Sohee Chooses 2PM’s Wooyoung over 2AM’s Seulong

On June 30 the Wonder Girls appeared on TV Chosun’s “Entertainment in TV – the TREND” and appeared on the interview corner, “An Interview’s Dignity.”

The Wonder Girls members did an “Ideal Man World Cup” game. (“World Cup” games are when an individual chooses their ideal type out of two people, then you continue to do that until you are only left with one person that is your ideal type)

Sohee ended up choosing 2PM’s Wooyoung instead of 2AM’s Seulong. This comes as a surprise because Sohee and Seulong were spotted eating, and dating rumors about the two have been going around.

Sohee said of Wooyoung, “Me and Wooyoung oppa have a similar sense of humor. We don’t talk that much but when Wooyoung oppa says one or two things I end up laughing hard.”

Sohee said of Seulong, “I am so close to Seulong that I call him Seulong unni. Just like a real sister he is very delicate and considerate.”

The other Wonder Girls members also stated, “Seulong unni is like a real sister. He takes care of everyone.”

So Hee of the Wonder Girls recently made a cute mistake.

On the episode of SBS’s 100,000,000 won Quiz Show that aired on June 29, So Hee and Sun Ye of the Wonder Girls appeared and aroused expectations that there will be another record following SNSD’s Seo Hyun. Previously, the SNSD youngest gave correct answers to all questions in the show.

On the episode, So Hee gave a different answers from other panels’ to the question: “What’s the tip to cut down on electricity bill?”

The Wonder Girls cutie chose the number 2 for the answer while all the other panels chose number 1. When emcee Kim Young Man asked her why she chose number 2, So Hee hesitated for a while and admitted her cute mistake of hitting the wrong number, saying “I hit the wrong number.”

During the episode, So Hee looked earnest and serious all the way while replying the quizzes.

Meanwhile, Sun Ye of the Wonder Girls recorded that she got all the quizzes correct, following SNSD’s Seo Hyun.
