Actor Kim Kap Soo expresses his dissatisfaction with “All My Love”

Actor Kim Kap Soo of MBC’s “All My Love” recently expressed some uncomfortable feelings regarding the production of the popular sitcom.

On the morning of April 19th, he tweeted, “By the time I came home after finishing the recording for the show, it was already 3 AM. Maybe because I’m still unfamiliar with the way sitcoms work, but it’s hard for me to adjust to the production style of sitcoms. I also can’t understand why everything is forgiven just because it’s a sitcom. I’ll probably never know.”

The day before, he had also tweeted, “I expressed all of my problems with the drama towards the director today. I wasn’t able to conclude my thoughts due to the lack of time, so I’ll try to express them again when we have extra time.”

This isn’t the first time he’s expressed some dissatisfaction with his role and the drama as a whole. He mentioned earlier this year that he’d like some changes done to his unlikable character.

The problem seems to stem from the fact that the sitcom was originally planned for 120 episodes, but was increased to 200. In order to make up for the stretch, producers have begun inserting random stories that don’t fit with the plot, and have been driving the characters into performing incomprehensible actions for the sake of filler. Naturally, viewers have been unhappy these changes, and they’ve expressed some criticisms.

In an attempt to clarify the situation, a representative of Kim Kap Soo’s agency stated, “There seems to be a misunderstanding with the post he wrote on his Twitter. There is no discord between him and the producers of the show, nor is it an expression of his desire to quit. He has always starred in traditional dramas but he’s been going through a hard time adjusting to the production style of sitcoms. It was merely an expression of his inner feelings, there are no other intentions.”

They continued, “The post was written because various edits made to the footage and the overall plot of the drama was not going the way it was initially written, which upset him. He is also currently in discussion for variety programs, as we have two programs that we’re considering.”

Kim Gab Soo celebrates his birthday with “All My Love” cast

In honor of actor Kim Gab Soo’s birthday, the cast of MBC’s “All My Love” set out to make the celebration extra special while on the drama’s film set.

Although his star profile says that his birthday is on April 7th, the lunar calendar shows that his birthday is actually May 9th. The actor tweeted, “Today is my birthday. I celebrated it with my ‘All My Love’ family. We all came together mid-recording, and the cake was prepared by Mi Sun-ssi. Ajumma, you’re the best! ’All My Love’, fighting!”

In the accompanying picture, the castmates can be seen posing affectionately around the birthday star. Netizens commented, “They truly look like a wholesome family”, “Doojoon’s family is missing!”, and “Happy birthday!”

On June 16th, Boyfriend’s twin brothers Youngmin and Kwangmin revealed a photo from the set of MBC’s “All My Love“.

The twins are playing the charactere of twin brothers in the sitcom, and they work alongside fellow actor Kim Gab Soo.

Sohn Ye-jin and Kim Gab-soo as father-daughter pair

Looks like Sohn Ye-jin (Chilling Romance, Personal Taste) will be sticking to the big screen for a while. She’s announced that her next project will be the suspense film Accomplice, where she’ll be playing daughter to veteran actor Kim Gab-soo (Just Like Today). It’s no ordinary happy family though, because the heroine begins to suspect that her father is a murderer, which kinda tends to put a damper on the daddy-daughter picnics.

It’s being called the sequel to 2007′s His Voice, starring Kim Nam-joo and Seol Kyung-gu, and is described as a battle of wits between father and daughter. Yeah, I’d say. I’m already creeped out just thinking about it. I hope they’re not locked in a house together. I already can’t watch it if I know they’re locked in a house together. And if that house is in the woods? Forget about it.

To make it even creepier, she suspects that Dad is kidnapping children, and I really don’t want to know where that leads. Don’t open any cellar doors! Is it a bad sign if I’m reading the plot description through my fingers? What’s great is that Kim Gab-soo, despite playing mostly the nice dad on tv, can also turn on a dime and be scary and mysterious if the role calls for it, so I can picture this being an effective pair. The CJ Entertainment film is being produced by the original director of His Voice, and directed by that film’s assistant director, Gook Dong-seok. This will be his feature debut.

Accomplice starts shooting in May and plans to release later this year.

Actress Son Ye-jin and actor Kim Kap-soo said their latest film cost them a great deal of effort to deal with detailed portrayals of emotions.
In the emotional thriller “The Accomplice,” Son played a daughter who becomes suspicious that her father might be a culprit in a kidnap-turned-murder case.
The film took the motif from a true story that shocked the nation in 1988, about a man who killed two children in his neighborhood and threw their bodies into the sea. 
In “The Accomplice,” with only 15 days remaining until the statute of limitation lapses for the case, the daughter starts to track down her father’s past and their relationship wrenches apart due to mounting distrust. 
“I played the role of a daughter who loves her father, but she gets embroiled in a tornado of emotions and overwhelming confusion as the suspicion starts,” Son said at a press conference for the film, held in Gangnam, Seoul, on Thursday. 
The 31-year-old actress said she experienced total exhaustion after an array of sobbing and conflicting scenes with the veteran actor Kim. “I choose the movie because of the scenario, but I didn’t expect it to be this hard. The range of emotions that I had to do was really wide.”
Kim, who played the role of the father, also noted the difficulties he faced throughout shooting scenes. 
“Every scene was hard because I had to deliverer many feelings, from frustration and pain to love.”
“The Accomplice” will be released on Oct. 10.

Yeon Woo Jin, Han Groo, 2AM's Jinwoon, and SECRET's Sunhwa brightened up the room during their first script reading for the upcoming tvN weekend drama 'Marriage, Not Dating'!
Yeon Woo Jin, Han Groo, Jinwoon, Sunhwa, Heo Jung Min, Yoon So Hee, Kim Young Wook, Kim Hye Sook, Lim Ye Jin, Kim Kab Soo, and more showed their good teamwork throughout the script reading for episodes 1-4 of the drama.
The 16-episode series is written by Joo Hwa Mi and will be directed by PD Song Hyun Wook. The drama portrays the story of successful bachelor Gong Ki Tae (Yeon Woo Jin), who gets pressure from his family to settle down. He devises a plan to introduce Joo Jang Mi (Han Groo) as his girlfriend who he thinks would never get his family's approval for marriage. Jinwoon will play bad boy Han Yeo Reum who has got both riches and looks but doesn't believe in love until he meets Joo Jang Mi. Sunhwa will be playing the role of Kang Se Ah, who has got everything going for her as Gong Ki Tae's fellow medical school colleague and works as a specialist under her father's cosmetic surgery clinic.
The drama is currently in the process of casting and will crank in this month. It's scheduled to premiere following 'Gabdongi' on July 4!

“Marriage Without Love” Has First Script Reading


Pictures of actors script reading for the upcoming drama, “Marriage Without Love” has been revealed.
tvN’s upcoming Friday-Saturday drama, “Marriage Without Love,” will air its first episode during July and the entire cast gathered together on May 30 at the CJ E&M Center to begin their first script reading.
“Marriage Without Love” is a story about Joo Jang Mi, played by Han Groo, who wants to get married and Gong Ki Tae, played by Yeon Woo Jin, who doesn’t want to get married. It’s a romantic comedy drama that shows both characters playing hard to get.
Gong Ki Tae is the perfect man that any woman would ask for, however, he is unwilling to get married, despite pressure from his family.
He plans to make his family members give up on the idea of marriage by introducing Joo Jang Mi as his girlfriend, knowing they wouldn’t approve of her. The two characters form a dating contract and the romance between them begins.
Han Groo, Yeon Woo Jin, 2AM‘s Jung Jinwoon , Secret‘s Han Sunhwa, Heo Jung Min, Yoon So Hee, Kim Young Ok, Kim Hye Sook, Im Ye Jin, Kim Kap Soo and director Song Hyun Sook attended the script reading.
The casts’ passionate acting could be seen within the pleasant atmosphere as the script reading covered the first four episodes.
Han Groo was very detailed as she continuously wrote notes on the script. Jung Jinwoon showed a mysterious charm for his character while Han Sun Hwa captured the eyes of many through her presence.
The first episode of “Marriage Without Love” will be aired on July 4.
