Any tips on how to look stylish in business attire and not too rigid and bland? Also, if you want, post pics of models or yourself even. Thanks. :)

^ Totally agree!

I like high-waisted pants too~ Wide-legged trousers look nice as well.. I like to dress really feminine at work (I work at a financial institution so I wear a lot of business attire) and I like buying blouses that are really girly with bows on them. Vests also look nice on women; I prefer the longer ones.

A nice fitted blazer is important and flattering slacks as well. I think how well the whole outfit suits the body is more important than how pretty each individual piece looks. I dream of buying business attire from Club Monaco xD

I think bcbg max azira is a good place to shop for business attire

they have lots of fashionable formal skirts and blazer that can be worn in the office and outside

it can be kinda expensive with retail prices, but they have sales alot, and you only need a few key pieces

like everyone else i like high waist skirts

i like puffed shoulders as well

they didn't have any puff shoulder jackets on the site or else i would have posted it,

i have a puffed shoulder vest from bcbg and i absolutely love it, totally worth it cause it can be worn during any season

is this outfit too casual? i guess changing the tights to a solid black color would make it look less informal.

When I had to buy business attire, I went to places like Express. They have some nice pants. Haha. I would've gone with a skirt, but I didn't want guys looking at my legs while I was presenting my senior design project, so..

most of my friends will buy their business attire (or I guess business casual for them) from Banana Republic or J. Crew. so you might want to check those places out! :)

also, I think a nicely fitting blazer is a key component in a business woman's wardrobe~

nice, not too huge jewels can make a business attire a bit more feminine

also nice girly shirts under 'severe' jackets can do the job.

they way you make up yourself and comb your hair can be important too: maybe a nice clip in your hair and a pink glossy lipstick can make you look sweet

depending on where you work, but wearing very short skirts/shorts like insome of the pics above, could be not a good idea...i think no more than 5 cm above your knees can go, especially if you are working in formal/semi formal places

i love fashionable business wear :P it can look so sophisticated :) high waist skirts that hug your hips always look great with black or flesh coloured stockings =] and wide leg trousers with maybe vertical stripes or something

Some pictures I saved of business attire. Hope it helps. My workplace is boring. We have to wear uniform. :(

^ i agree. though i interned for a fashion company in the past and shorts were acceptable as long as you looked put together. obviously you wouldn't wear jean shorts but a mid-length satin or wool short maybe? they basically said that since they are a fashion company, anything goes as long as you keep it polished and professional.

i guess you have to keep in mind who you're working for. if its say a financial firm, i would keep it simple and go for a suit and button down/top.if its a fashion company or one that is more laid back and casual, i would play around with colors, prints, accessorizes, etc.

I don't know if you know her, but fuzkittie on youtube has a mix and match series and she does a lot of fashionable business attire. She has like 5-6 series of them? I think it'd give you good ideas on how to dress fashionably but still professional.

I like to wear ruffled blouses (not too over the top), high-waist A-line skirts, pencil skirts, black tights, oxford booties, collar shirts with vests or cardigans, etc. there's a lot you can play around with...business attire isn't too restrictive ^^ but you know the usual. no ripped stuff, loud graffiti/offensive word print, and the like
