This one is my first thread. Is everything OK? Maybe it's too early.

Anyway, PBY is one of the brightest newbies of the Korean cinema. Maybe the luckiest. She did four(!) movies this years. She was main lead in the two movies. Overspeed Scandal was a domestic hit and they already call her the next Moon Geun-young. A great actress, a suprisingly good singer and a wonderful team player.

For TV viewers; She did young Gu Hye-sun in King and I, Young Han Ga-in in Witch Yu-hee, Eric Moon's sister in Strongest Chilwoo and Young Choi Ji-woo in Celebrity's sweetheart. But her greatest TV work is a gloomy TV movie called Jungle Fish.

'과속스캔들' 샛별 박보영, '선덕여왕' 캐스팅

500만 관객을 돌파한 영화 '과속스캔들'의 샛별 박보영이 차기작으로 MBC 대하 사극 '선덕여왕'(극본 김영현 박상연·연출 박홍균 김근홍)을 선택했다.

22일 방송 관계자들에 따르면 박보영은 '선덕여왕'에서 주인공 덕만 공주와 자매지간인 천명공주 역을 맡을 예정이다. SBS '왕과 나' 이후 약 1년 만에 브라운관에 복귀하는 셈이다.

'선덕여왕'은 '과속스캔들'에서 발랄한 미혼모 역을 맡아 일약 스타덤에 오른 박보영이 선택한 첫 작품이어서 더욱 기대가 높다. 더욱이 박보영은 '왕과 나'에서 어린 소화 역을 맡아 단아한 매력을 과시한 바 있어 2번째 사극 도전에 더욱 관심이 쏠리고 있다.

드라마 관계자는 "현재 계약이 마무리된 것은 아니지만 박보영의 '선덕여왕' 출연을 긍정적으로 타진하고 있다"며 "좋은 연기를 보여줄 것으로 기대한다"고 밝혔다.

'선덕여왕'은 우리나라 최초의 여성 임금인 선덕여왕을 내세운 50부작 사극이다. 앞서 이요원과 고현정 등의 캐스팅으로 더욱 기대감을 높였다. 오는 5월께 방송될 예정이다.
