Kool Aid As A Hair Dye

anyone tried it?

i know it sounds dumb, but has this been posted before? my cousin told me when he was in high school, his friends would dye their hair with kool aid. i was wondering if it really shows up on black asian hair rather than blonde. does anyone know the pros & cons?

i don't think food coloring has ability to dye your hair... but damn why would you do that? Buy some actual hair dyes, mini cooper!

i've tried coloring my hair with markers *shrugs*

the kid's hair changed to a reddish colour,
so i guess it works

My friends did it .. haha; it looked pretty cool though =)
The thing about dying your hair w/ Koolaid is that it's temp. so you can wash it
out at the end of the day, because color hairspray makes your hair really hard
and looks "fake". Koolaid looks a lil better in my opinion.

My friend told me how to do it once but I forgot ... lol.

i mean it's not a bad smell, i just get a little sick after smelling too much koolaid.

uhhhh....the idea of using kool aid to dye hair is wacked to me.
it's like putting food in your hair... o_o

It's better than real hair dye that damages your hair.

I've always wanted to! Alas, I would have to bleach my black hair.. no can do. Kool Aid will give you really bright colors.

maybe it does work. i mean theres kids at my school that just eats the powder plain, and then their hands gets all stained with the color

i've tried it before...when i was in middle school.

if your hair is really dark then you wouldn't really see the difference.
if you have lighter hair then you can see the color...be careful cause it's different on everybody.

red looks nice with brown hair.
some people who have black hair go with purple and blue.
the blondes avoid the green and use the orange/red.

it really depends on who is using it.
it's temporary and the intensity of the color depends on
how much you put and how long you leave it on.

another thing is, it sometimes colors the back of your neck
your hands, your cheek...yeah...

Why someone would do that is beyond me.
It would cause a stench or smell hanging around the air around you and it'd be too easy to remove. It probably doesn't even look like it's dyed with black or brown hair. It'd probably stick to your clothes if you have long hair as well.

Yes, I hate Kool-Aid.

Yes... I tried this when I was like 9? I wanted to make 2 strands of my hair blue (I was 9.) I used blue Kool-aid, but since my hair was blonde it turned green.
I thought I was cool.... sigh.
