Haha, I tried looking and couldn't find any...

Please tell me the name of the artist and song

& also what the lyrics mean or what the song's about :]

Utada Hikaru's ballads are sad and quite meaningful.

Final Distance - it's about missing someone and wanting to be with that person. This is a ballad version that Utada Hikaru released in honour of her young fan who died (I forgot how she died, I think she got shot or something). http://youtube.com/watch?v=HDXi3G63svg

My descriptions dont really do justice on UH's lyrics, but the songs are really good. Hikki is a passionate song writer. Her songs have deep meanings, especially during her Deep River album days where her music had a touch of sadness/darkness. I highly recommend these 3 songs. :)

I almost forgot....the classic "First Love". You've probably heard it before, but it's still a sad song.

they do write sad songs and in my opinion this song the saddest, yet.

My General Interpretation

This song is truly heartbreaking at times. I feel as though this is for someone who's died. The beginning would take place with the loved one in the coffin and he/those left behind longing for a sign of life, for them to not be gone. A missing shoe, an analogy for them, insignificant things like spilled coffee and now dried tears, (he) wants to hear/experience them again, because that would mean the loss hadn't occurred. Even a lie, just to hear (her) voice. There's of course much grief and tears, but in the end (he's) alright. (He'll) always have the memories and is at last able to give a kiss farewell.

Chihiro Onitsuka' stuff is lovely.

The one I've been obsessed with since it came out is "Watashi to Waltz o". The video isn't on Youtube, but the song's supposedly in http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2CFJDkWA5bw.

Aaand translations her lyrics are here, which are usually sad-ish.

And Cocco has some nice stuff too. She's more intense than simply pretty like Chihiro.

the only song that has really made me cry to date. maybe because something similar happened to me last november. seriously, the saddest song I've ever heard too.

K - Only Human - Seriously, this song makes me cry so much. It's something along the line of 'Never give up even though the the outcome might be bad. Keep living your life and your dream because there is always a miracle.

M-Flo - Yours Only - Basically about not forgetting someone even thought that special person is gone forever. The love will still remain and forever will never be forgotten. Dedicating a love to someone and remembering someone will always be painful.

Utada Hikaru - First Love - About missing and remembering about your first love<3

Well it depends on a person's taste in music. Mine goes to:

Soft/Mildly loud Sad songs

Only Human - K : Common choice as you can see, very sad melody, very moving and awesome lyrics.

Tears - X Japan : Listen to the rendition by the TRAX too, they're VERY good too. Beautiful song.

Louder Sad Songs

The combo of "Wakaermichi" & "Shichi gatsu Youka" - the GazettE : Both songs have AWESOME melodies and the best thing have GOT to be the lyrics. Had me crying ='( *hugs Ruki*

Guren - the GazettE

Cassis - the GazettE

Taion - the GazettE

(Sorry I am in love with GazettE so yeah xD but GAZETTE FTW!!!)
