29 Oct – Taiwanese actor Chris Wang has finally confirmed rumours of his girlfriend's pregnancy.

As reported on BBC News, the actor, who admitted to be in a relationship with his manager Xiao Jian previously, recently turned to Facebook and revealed, "I will be stepping into another stage of life and become a father."

It was reported that his girlfriend has just entered the second trimester, and is preparing for a long hiatus to concentrate on child care.

Chris earlier denied rumours of pregnancy, after Xiao Jian was photographed with a bulging belly.

In regard to his relationship with the manager, the "Love Family" star said, "We have worked together for five years and know a lot of things about each other. But we used to ignore the feelings for each other, until last year, when the reports about us were published."

"By then, we realised that we are ready to face it, and now I feel at peace, free, and happy."

Chris Wang’s girlfriend a surrogate mum?


After Taiwanese actor Chris Wang announced last Saturday that he was going to be a father, netizens have been showing support and giving well-wishes. But there have been talks that his girlfriend, Xiao Jian, is a surrogate mother and a cover-up for the actor's sexual orientation.
This July, Chris was suspected to be gay and had reportedly exchanged intimate messages with his “male partner” who was living in Bangkok. Both he and Xiao Jian, who were already dating then, denied those speculations. His management further confirmed on Sunday that those were false.
Chris and Xiao Jian, who is also his manager, went public with their relationship last November after being photographed in each other’s homes.
The 32-year-old, who is currently with his new projects Aim High and Endless Nights In Aurora, had planned to keep the pregnancy under wraps until the baby is three months old to focus on his work, but Apply Daily magazine leaked the news.
On Sunday, Chris posted an ultrasound photo and wrote on Facebook: “I am calm, blessed, peaceful and free now.” It is believed the baby will be born on April 8 next year.
