Guest essxiv
Hey guys,I'm relatively new here. I'm 21 years old, 100% Korean. I've always wanted to be a model/actor and i'm wondering how I would start.I have a very clear mind-set. I know ANYTHING can happen, and nothing is ever out of reach, for ANY of us! Is there someone here that could help me and give me some tips to start this career? What do agents look for? The only language I know is English, and pretty much "white-washed" (adopted (white parents)). I go to the gym every day, working on my body. All in all, just looking for information from Asians experienced in this field. Thanks!

taaaaay
I think you're too short to be a model. Best way is to take acting classes and then move to a larger market area (NYC, LA, Chicago, Atlanta). Use google to find out more information. You'll need to take headshots, a resume, and apply for auditioning through Actor's Access and Backstage.com (there are more sites, but these are the basic ones).Research on what SAG-AFTRA is and Non-union. Take improv, auditioning technique, scene studies, and on camera classes. After you do enough non-union work, you can start applying to boutique agencies.
