Matt Damon completes charity Ice Bucket Challenge with toilet water
Trust one of the nicest stars in Hollywood to combine two charities into one water-related challenge.
Matt Damon has completed the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, but has used toilet water to drench himself with instead of clean water, to raise awareness for his co-founded charity Water.org.

The not-for-profit organization aims to help provide safe water and sanitation to communities in Asia, Africa and South America.
The cold water craze, which has been performed by celebrities, public figures and sports stars all over the world, aims to raise awareness for ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, or motor neurone disease), a terminal illness that weakens and stiffens muscles.
In the YouTube video Damon has shared online, the star can be seen filling his bucket full of water from his loo while explaining that the challenge posed a problem for him - not just because of the current drought in California, but because around 800 million people around the world don't have access to clean water.

"Dumping a bucket of clean water on my head seemed a little crazy," the Oscar and Golden Globe winner said.
"We also want to bring adequate sanitation to the 2.4 billion people on planet Earth who don't have it, so I thought a good thing to do to kind of tie those things together, would be to take some toilet water [for the challenge]."
Damon also explained that for his wife Luciana and any viewers who think using toilet water is disgusting, that the water in Western loos is actually cleaner than the water that most people in the developing world have access to.
After pouring the bucket of water over his head and completing the challenge, the Bourne Identity and Good Will Hunting star nominated George Clooney, Bono and sports star Tom Brady. He in turn had been nominated by his friends Ben Affleck and Jimmy Kimmel.
