How do you talk to people that blab about stuff you don't give a crap about?

Heh. Ever had a time where you are talking to someone and they keep on blabbing over something that you just don't give a richard simmons about?


What do you do? For me, stopping them mid sentence or just walking away would be rude. So I can't really do that..

Sometimes people just want to blab, so let them blab and throw in a couple nods and mhmmss. 
I always tune my best friend out. Not that I don't care about what he says but he will literally tell the same story every damn day, and it's always about some horny body builder from Grindr. 

My hearing's getting bad so sometimes I literally just pretend I'm listening instead of having them repeat their statement.

The real blabbers often unaware they're blabbing. If someone is going to speak to me, then they should speak to me.

Do you not like to be spoken to?

If you do, then remind them to speak to you.

At times like these, I often ask, "What are you doing?"

And they stop abruptly, and the air clears. It's almost as if they discovered where they were.
