1920's Dinner

I have a charity dinner coming up and the attire is 1920's. I don't want to buy a dress that I'm going to wear once and throw away. Are there any evening 20's dresses that I can still use that can still be worn on today's dressy night? I know that flapper dresses were in but looking at some, they were pretty unattractive.. I don't think I would wear it again. Help ):

you can probably get away with any modern mid-thigh to knee dress with spaghetti straps. the accessories, hairstyle and makeup will bring you into that period. ie hair net, head band, elbow length gloves, parted curls, strong eye shadow, red lipstick etc.
