Since Taiwan singer Jolin Tsai and model Vivian Dawson were involved in a scandal in 2010, it became increasingly evident that the two were in a relationship, despite no confirmation from both parties. The day before, the Mandopop singer finally admitted their romance for the first time.

When asked about her marriage views during a cover shoot in Paris, the singer said, “Marriage shouldn’t happen just because you’re at the right age, or to follow tradition. It should only happen when you feel that you really need it.”

The reporter probed about her relationship with Vivian, and Jolin admitted frankly, “Today we’re a couple. As long as we believe that we belong together, that’s enough for me. I don’t need that piece of paper.”

For the pop queen, marriage isn’t the happy ending in a fairytale, it’s only the addition of kids and union of two families. She believes that a good relationship should be a simple happiness that you enjoy every day.

So when will wedding bells ring for her and her beau? Jolin replied, “Probably when we are expecting the next generation!”

At the same time, the couple was witnessed at the Taiwan airport sporting colourful couple shorts and scarves, boarding a plane to Japan for an early honeymoon, leading to speculations that they might have a blitz marriage.

Jolin will also be releasing her new album in the summer. This is the first time she is participating in composing and writing of lyrics. The day before, Jolin revealed that her friend had conveniently gifted her with a set of mini recording devices, so she tries a hand at composing whenever she is home with nothing to do.
