Actress Han Ga In has decided to turn down the offer to star as heroine in SBS upcoming weekend drama “Thrice Married Woman” which will be written by renowned TV scribe Kim Soo-hyun, due to many dissimilarities between the actress and the drama producer Director Jung Eul-Young.

Reports also said that actor Chun Jung Myung also gave up his role in the drama series after going through the same issue with the producers.

On the other hand, an official from Seoul Broadcasting System revealed they were eying on actress Song Ji Hyo as a possible candidate to replace Han Ga In. If she accept the offer, she will play as Uhm Ji Won’s younger sister.

Currently, the confirmed cast were actress Seo Yeong-Hee and actress Uhm Ji-Won who recently starred in cable drama “Childless Comfort” (also penned by writer Kim Soo Hyun) which became the all-time highest rated cable drama. Ha Suk Jin, Song Chang Ui, and Jo Han-sun has been reportedly being courted to join the drama.

SBS planned to air “Thrice Married Woman” in November.

TV drama comeback for Jo Han-sun?

Actor Jo Han-sun may come back to the small screen for the first time since he was discharged from his military service last year. 

He is currently reviewing options to join an upcoming SBS drama, tentatively named “A Woman Who Gets Married Three Times.” The drama is written by renowned drama writer Kim Su-hyun of JTBC drama “Childless Comfort.”

It is said that he will have a meeting with the production team this week and decide whether to take the role. 

If he joins the drama, he will play the counterpart of actress Uhm Ji-won of “Childless Comfort.”

why them????  I rather have kim ji ho or kim ji young as oldest sister, song yoon ah or kim hyun ju as second sister and chae rim or bae doona as third sister. would it be more inviting to watch if they get this professional actress who can really act?

Actress Kim Sa-rang may make a comeback to the small screen for the first time in two years, since her appearance in the SBS drama “Secret Garden.” 

Kim is currently a candidate for the upcoming SBS weekend drama “Thrice Married Woman,” and she reportedly has even participated in script-reading with other actors and producers.

However, Kim’s participation has yet to be confirmed as veteran script writer Kim Su-hyun, who has written numerous hit dramas including cable channel JTBC’s drama “Childless Comfort,” will have the final say, according to local media reports yesterday.

If she were to be confirmed, she would be playing the youngest daughter in the family, named Oh Eun-su, in a drama about a mother and her two daughters. 

Actress Uhm Ji-won, who also starred in “Childless Comfort,” will play the role of the older sister. 

The drama is scheduled to air beginning in November after current drama “Goddess of Marriage” completes its run.

According to the Korean media site, TV Report, the casting of Jo Han Sun, Kim Sarang, and Ha Suk Jin is still under discussion. Although the complete cast is not yet confirmed, it is hoped that filming can begin in mid-September.

Kim Su-hyun's new drama "She Gets Married Thrice" claimed that no one has been confirmed as a cast yet. Everyone is still in negotiation.

"She Gets Married Thrice" is about a mother and two daughters created by Kim Su-hyun and Jeong Eul-yeong once again. They have respectively written and produced other dramas like "Precious Family", "A Thousand Days' Promise", "Childless Comfort" and more.

I’ll be calling this drama Thrice Cast Heroine from now on, that is, IF they can actually get this one to stick. So far, things aren’t looking so good. Hit writer Kim Soo-hyun’s new weekend drama Thrice Married Woman is going through some serious drama before the drama, with conflicting reports that the third possible leading lady Kim Sa-rang (Secret Garden) may or may not be signing on to star, that none of the cast members are actually confirmed, and that the production will be delayed by at least two weeks at best.

The new SBS weekend drama about a mother and her two daughters is starting to gain a reputation as a troubled production, mostly because everyone is left wondering WHY exactly it can’t manage to secure a cast. Basically, when you play the game for too long, everyone starts wondering, How picky is too picky? The show has already cycled through two possible leading ladies from Han Ga-in to Song Ji-hyo, and now Kim Sa-rang is going through her obligatory round of headlines, from “She’s dropping it,” to “No no, she’s still considering!”

The latest stories keep her in the running, though they ALSO come with caveats from the production that leading men Ha Suk-jin and Jo Han-seon aren’t confirmed either. Is this drama going to have anyone in its cast? It turns out that the so-called early informal script reads were actually an audition process, and I’m getting the sense that they didn’t want tocall it an audition, lest they hurt big stars’ feelings. In any case, it’s made for some seriously confused press releases.

I think Eom Ji-won and Song Chang-eui are the only members of the cast who are confirmed, but who knows when that’ll change. The drama has already had to delay its October premiere by two weeks, and is looking at possibly losing even more time. SBS, meanwhile, is working on getting a two-week extension for its current weekender Goddess of Marriage to fill the gap. I have no idea what they’re going to do if they need even more time.

If Thrice Married Woman ever secures a cast, it’ll premiere in October. Or November. OrGoddess of Marriage will just go on for eternity.
