hahahaha wowwww the writer for reply 1997 is now just playing around with us with the script. i don't know if you guys picked up on it but at one point in episode 14, aroud the 26 minute mark.... lee joo yeon asks who yoon jae is & yoon jae kinda nods to joonhee inferring who the lady doctor is. and then joonhee goes to explaining to yoon jae that lee joo yeon is "형 수... 않이 형 시술하는 광잔님..." which basically is a play on words because "형수" ("hyung soo") means "sister-in-law". so the writer implicitly and curtly added in those two syllables that gives it away that lee joo yeon is the future wife of taewoong. i love how the writer still kinda messes around with us and keeps us guessing even though it feels like the ending is going to be obvvious. she still is able to kinda play around with our feelings. aowiefjaklsdfj making the anticipation for the ending to grow even more! ahhhhhhhhhhhhh i can't wait until next tuesday. it feels so far away. especially episode 16.... which is TWO FULL WEEKS AWAY!! sighhhh~~ this was seriously the best end of the summer drama everrrrrr.
In ep. 13, Shiwon said to Taewoong "To me, you are just Daddy long legs." and Taewoong asked "Do you know how Daddy Long Legs (novel) ends?". Later Shiwon bought the novel and read it. And right now, "The ending of Daddy Long Legs" is on top 10 search term of Naver (Korea's biggest search engine). LOL
As we did last week, whitecarrot and I will share our thoughts on
these episodes in a separate post. Episode 14’s recap will be up soon!
Thanks for all your patience and for sharing this special journey with
2005, Seoul: Yoon-jae is on the phone with Joon-hee, making his
excuses for their high school reunion. Turns out Yoon-jae has never
once met up with his high school class since graduating, and though he
claims it’s because he doesn’t want to awkwardly refuse personal favors,
one wonders if a *cough cough* girl named Sung Shi-won is the real
reason. A senior colleague (from his alma mater) recognizes him and
introduces his friend, a fellow lawyer (in the private sphere). The
friend apparently knows everything about Yoon-jae: his older brother is
Yoon Tae-woong, the man who donated all of his shares of his uber
successful business and is now teaching at Yoon-jae’s alma mater. They
exchange pleasantries and part, Yoon-jae politely – but firmly –
declining the offer to dine with them. Can’t get too cozy with lawyers
if you’re a judge.
