Park Jin-Young (박진영, born November 13, 1972) also known as J.Y.Park is a South Korean singer and songwriter, and the current CEO/founder of JYP Entertainment, a major artist management/record label of Korean pop music and one of the most successful artists/entrepreneur in Asia. Park graduated from Yonsei University majoring in Geology in 1996. His debut was in 1994 with the first album Blue City. As a producer, he is the first Asian producer to successfully crossover to the U.S. He has produced music for Will Smith, Mase and Cassie. He has produced over 26 No.1 singles and 19 No.1 albums in Asia through his industry leading company, JYP Entertainment. Discovered, trained and produced �Rain� the biggest Asian artist in history. He also has produced music for F4 and Jackie Chung in China, and for AI in Japan. He is currently producing Asian singers, Min and G-soul, who will debut in the U.S. in 2007/2008.

JYP Entertainment (Korean: JYP 엔터테인먼트) is a South Korean talent agency named after its founder, Park Jin Young. The company is best known for producing singers Park Ji Yoon, Rain[1], R&B group g.o.d. and, more recently, girl group The Wonder Girls. The studio and headquarters of its US branch, JYP USA, officially opened in New York City in June 2007.[2]

i know this isn't really that important, but at the bottom where you listed the artists, and former roster, Park Ji yoon, you got your info wrong. There are numerous Park ji yoons, there is a singer, and there is an mc. The part where you wrote that park ji yoon is with KBS is wrong, thats park ji yoon the announcer, and there is a different park ji yoon singer.

what happened to min? wasn't min supposed to debut or release a single/album in the us on the same day as snsd's comeback (nov.1)? i really curious to see if she will gain popularity. i am really glad there is jype thread! =)

Also,at JYPE CEO is different not PJY as what i remember,but yeah he does the producing. I remember when he said that when he composed a song for Will smith and Mase,JYPE didn't acknowledge it and he didn't recieve any cent for a year,and it was really hard for him.

thank youuuu =). i corrected the part about Rain´s new company. but are you sure JYP is not the Ceo of JYPE? because he´s listed as the CEO like everywhere. but i remember him saying that he might give up on being a CEO soon and concentrate only on producing when Rain left.

JYP is the CEO...he just wanted more time to produce and work on music and less on day to day business.

i wonder what's the latest with min in the US... any news guys?? because if she have indeed debuted already last Nov.1 she should at least be in the entertainment/music news, or on MTV right??? wonder what had happened... hey! how about the radio feedbacks???

has anyone heard of who'll be the last member in jyp's 12 member group? i remember something about an audition being held and the advertisement for it but i didn't see any result...has he not picked one, yet?
