Guest Sadana
just some questionsSo, due to soompi, my curiosity kicked in the clutch. I don't remember when, but I was reading a topic and people were saying that they applied this E Oil to their eyelashes and it gave them fuller, longer lashes. I searched through the forum and I couldn't find any topics about this (sorry for making the 5845 topic about this), so I just wanted to know again 1. Does it really work 2. How do you apply 3. Is there a SPECIFIC brand or product you should use Also, I just read the back of the E Oil I brought and it says "avoid contact with eyes" I just put some on now, and maybe a little dripped into my eyes Thanks guys <
Guest HERinsinuation
1. 0_o....I 've heard of this before... and I really don't get how people get these ideas HAHA. The length of your eyelashes is genetically determined - so if one of your parents at least has the dominant gene you'll have long eyelashes. Ya either got it or you don't. Putting ointment or treatments on your eyeashes is not going to change your genetic makeup - so your body is not going to start making your eyelashes grow longer or shorter.... Although, vitamin E IS known for making your eyelashes healthier and stronger so there are results in a way. I guess people think their eyelashes have grown longer because they're focusing on them so much? Kind of like when you stare at a picture and it looks like it's coming to life There isn't any harm in trying I guess though...my cousin does this and the only adverse effect is bloodshot eyes from getting vitamin E in them. 2. My cousin puts a really light coating on her fingertips and squeezes her eyelashes (with her eyes closed) from near the base moving out to the tips. 3. don't know about this either, but I don't think brand matters since they're all vitamin E OR you could always go for eyelash extensions...there was a thread on this board about them earlier :)

Guest this-is-kare
actually Castor Oil is supposed to make your lashes longer I know it sounds like some sorta car oil but it's actually this veggie and if you apply a thin layer to your eyes, it will help ! I have allergies and they were at their worst during March/April, so I lost quite a few lashes from my swollen/puffy and itchy eyes ! but I have a tub of caster oil (it's like petrolium jelly or vaseline) and I applied it every night (works wonders with removing make up as well) and now my lashes are longer. They aren't thicker in a sense but there are more and they are more longer and defined : ) hoped that helped ! ;)

I know I went through a rough time last winter/spring with getting insane allergies so I'm trying it out because I used to have pretty long and full lashes but now they're pretty sparse because a lot have fallen out (also due to some really crappy mascaras)... so i'm just trying to protect and cover them. I'm pretty sure there's no "cure" for thinner eyelashes, but if they have faced trauma, it doesn't really hurt, right? What about baby oil with vitamin E? http://www.dollardays.com/images/c67/image2/5877.jpg NOOOOOO. Baby oil is mineral oil and apparently mineral oil is REALLLY bad for the skin, especially on the face. It's comedogenic (clogs pores) and is just gross and gunky on your face. You can get vitamin E oil at most major drugstores for around $3-4.
