[Paran's Ryan Cast In KBS Drama]

Ryan (Joo Jong-hyuk), leader of the popular boy band Paran, has been cast in the new KBS 2TV drama "I Am Sam."

Ryan will play a popular high school teacher named Ji Seon-hoo. Ryan received a good response in April when he appeared in the popular KBS 2TV drama "Hello, Aegisshi/Hello, My Lady." It is this role that is reported to have influenced the decision to cast the singer/actor in "I Am Sam."

The new drama will start airing on August 6th. "I Am Sam" begins when an incompetent Korean classical music teacher is asked to tutor the only daughter of a mob leader. Park Min-young has been cast as the mob boss' daughter, Yoo Eun-byul. Yang Dong-geun will play the bumbling music teacher.

It is reported that Ryan also plans to appear in a movie currently being written by famous poet Won Tae-yeon. Filming is set to begin in the latter half of the year.

Arrival at Cengkareng Airport

Thursday, July 26th

Nothing much I could say. They arrived late and appeared in the front gate looking awesome. Luckily the fans were not so many. The EO had prepared some little girls to give flowers to the members. And after that they took pictures with them and went to the crowd. Ryan was the most cheerful one. He greeted fans, shook hands with them. They went to the cars. All of the members jumped to one car and stayed for sometime there. Ryan, wore his black glasses again, waved to the fans, and one time made a love sign with his hands when some fans yelled Saranghe. He really showed the quality of leader, in my opinion. After that another car arrived and two members changed the car, one of them was Neo, I think. Then the cars took off while most of the crews and staffs still stayed because of the luggage hadn't come out yet. I heard their cars stopped for a while and continued to go to Novotel hotel. I didn't go to the hotel, I prefer to go home because tomorrow's schedule will be tight. But my friend told me they had dinner first around 11 pm and then went to their rooms to get some rest.

i read that ryan was initially supposed to play a gay teacher but the production team thought better and how the audience may not accept a homosexual teacher

i actually think it will put an interesting twist to the story
